Office DepotReviews of officedepot.com

Beware of Office depot @401 SW plaza ste 107, Arlington TX 76016 and maybe all Office depots. If you buy anything from them that requires you to have a warranty, their warranties are from a third party. You will end up taking a lose if the item you buy, malfunction in any kind of a way. Make sure you purchase a warranty through the store itself if you can. If not then, go to a better and different store where you can.

Made a couple of orders online. Took both orders to a local store for return in original pkg. and with order receipts and numbers. Clerk was able to process one order but the system would not accept the second order number. The store manager was called and said he'd had a similar problem and the customer had to take the items back home and return them via Customer Service online. That was not acceptable to me. The clerk called Customer Care and after a LOT of unnecessary time and problems, a credit was granted. Initially, the telephone Customer Care Agent (located in South America) repeated that i'd have to have the items picked up from my home. NO. There was also some mention that I might not have returned the items in time. I DID. Your web site AND your Customer Care telephone number BOTH state one can return online purchases at a local store. Your web site clearly states a return policy that was much more generous than the 14 days mentioned by the Agent. Finally, the Agent did process a refund and offered to "give" me the folders I was returning. I declined to keep the items. The in-store clerk (Michael at store #00084) was AWESOME. He was gracious, apologized for the delays repeatedly, and worked with me to achieve the desired result: return and refund. Give Michael a RAISE and, for heaven's sake, get your systems upgraded and working properly!! Received a customer care survey, filled it out and (surprise??), it couldn't be sent. Your systems and your process are deplorable --conflicting and/or inaccurate information, slow computer processing, even the telephone connection was scratchy!

Office Depot on Rivers Ave. in North Charleston, SC is under staffed and corporate should be ashamed for not cross-training nor allowing (supposedly) other employees to assist in other departments especially in printing and copying. Why is it that a front-end cashier cannot assist the P&C department by distributing prepaid orders that require nothing but a handover of the products and an ID check? Last night alone caused a 15 minute wait just for me alone to pick up my prepaid supplies and causes those behind me even more time. The cashiers are just standing around when not occupied with purchases. It left one employee to serve 7 people in an untimely fashion. I've ordered from this location before without a problem. However, my updated business banner looks like crap and was not cut properly. I will be bringing it back.

Never did get my product and got my refund for it 24 days later. They're always available and always friendly sales team is a god sent to help work you through the many problems that is the ordering and receiving process. First it logged me off of my rewards account because I took to long to complete the order, now this is probably my fault, but it start the mess that is what ever system office depot uses to order and ship products. First i asked to cancel the order so I could do it under my rewards account. The chat agent help me through that, but only half my order was actually canceled. One item was charged and shipped from the first order as well as the reorder. But then I got to chat to get a refund of one of the items. No worry chat agent was able to help and it wasn't an issue because the item actually had shipping issues anyway. But then the second order never came either. So another chat with the team and it was finally resolved what do you know a shipping problem, it was 22 days behind, they also offered to send the item free of charge but I'd rather just not have to deal with office depot ever again.

Office Depot has been advertising for "Help Wanted" for over three years daily in my local community. Clearly they need it, the store is always busy and never more than two people working. If they need help so badly why has it taken three years to get someone hired? The ads say to me that they are either turning over very quickly or they are just phishing for people to target for ads. Get it together Office Depot!
