I wish there was a minus 1 star to choose. First time dealing with them and i must say its the worst ever experience. I desperately needed a printer for my business on Saturday, so i ordered one for curbside pickup and was told its available at their Silver Spring location and will be ready in 20 minutes. 45 mins later, no text/email to pick up. I called only for a very unhelpful guy at the curbside dept to tell me they only have one on display and its not for sale. When i asked if they can help locate one in nearby stores, he brushed me off with "we can not do that, how do you want us to get it here......". I explained that i needed one today and they should be able to coordinate with their other stores, he asked me to call corporate. I found one listed on their Leesburg location, only to be told they will not accept the payment i made through corporate because i did not choose their store, after arguing for few minutes, she told me "oh, we don't even have it in stock". Finally i called and cancelled the order and started a whole new order for a Fairfax location AFTER a gentleman there told me "yes, we have it and am looking at it". After placing the new order, I called Fairfax to confirm my order, a store Manager on duty (Sandra) she put me on hold forever, then disconnected, i called back and a guy answered and had no idea how to help me see if the item is ready or available, then realized i was talking to a Sandra, she told him to put me back on hold. Then she back on line only to tell me "we don't have it in stock, we have a display unit". I have been dealing with Staples for 10 years and never once had a bad experience. This will be my first and last dealing with Office Depot!! A very terrible, terrible excuse of a store!!!

Office Depot has the worst customer service!!!! I purchased a desk in store (it had to be ordered and shipped to me because it wasn't in stock in store). I paid cash for the desk, warranty/care plan, and assembly cost. Was given a delivery date, no show. Another date was given, no show, Then again... So I decided to cancel the order. I arrive home one day from work and the desk is on my porch, AFTER BEING TOLD THAT THE ORDER WAS CANCELED! I had to call several times to have it picked up. Was told by a representative to take it to a store. It was finally picked up. Had to call numerous times for refund. As of today, I still have not received refund for desk, only warranty cost and assembly cost. Each time I call customer service it's a long redundant process of being placed on hold... THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED!!!

Worst Customer Service Department!!! Wish I could give a minus star. Ordered paper products that arrived damaged. Called Customer Service and they scheduled a pick-up. Stayed home waiting on pick-up but no one came for pick up. I called back three times and and was given three pick-up dates. Still no pick-up. The boxes are too heavy for me to carry to local store. No refund without pick-up of item. They told me that they have a resolution team but they cannot transfer you to anyone on the team. I asked for a Manager and that person placed me on hold in the middle of the conversation and never returned back to the line. Bottom line, it you have a problem with an order do not expect a resolution. The best thing is to NOT PLACE AN ORDER ONLINE. Be Aware!! Lesson learned!! Update. Searched internet and found corporate phone number 561-438-4800. Received assistance -waiting on refund- ticket created. I still feel the need to share this information- Be Aware!

Cancelled our order, never offered explanation. Later after calling 10 days later they explained that a bank detail was incorrect. Office Depot never bothered to contact us about that. They just sat around for 10 days and cancelled our order. We are an office who depend on supplies. This was unprofessional and as a result we will never order supplies from these people again. Total waste of time.

Placed an order for a Netgear MS510TXM switch on August 9. Office Depot immediately charges my credit card despite weeks of delay. Called customer support multiple times - in each instance, I was assured by the CSR that the product is in stock and available. Turns out every one of them has been lying the whole time. As of today 9/28/2021, I still do not have my order. Office Depot now claims this product is drop shipped from Netgear. Why didn't they tell me that earlier and why did they lie about the product being in stock for quick delivery? No wonder this company is performing poorly and people shop elsewhere.

On 9-25 in the morning I ordered a $200 item. Within 30 minutes I contacted the Depot by Chat to cancel the order. I was told I would see my refund and receive an email within 24-48 hours. (To long in my opinion, however acceptable) 72 hours later without any correspondence from OD I contacted them again. The item had shipped by a third party. I was told the item would arrive and I would need to return the item to receive my refund. This company is very poorly run and their customer service in beyond poor. I will never use this company again!

I ordered, online, posters to be printed. I received a delivery date of 9/16/21 and they did not come. I went to my Office Depot, where I thought they were being made (that's what the online form indicated) and they said they were being made elsewhere and they couldn't tell me when they would arrive. Communication please!!!!!!! I had to cancel the online order and order from my local store which was $30 more, even with a coupon. Also, sending out "reward" coupons is not helpful. I need a coupon that works when I go to the store, not a future coupon. Will start looking for different ways to purchase office products.

December 18, 2020 I made an on line order of 7 Linon Home Decor chairs for my dining table. I didn't receive them until mid January, which was later then I was promised. After 6 months I noticed an opening in the fabric on one of the chairs. A month later I noticed an opening in the fabric of another chair in the same place. I contacted the manufacturer and they instructed me to contact the retailer (Office Depot On Line). On 9/9/21, I called customer service (Oliver at 9:25 a.m.) he led me to believe that he was going to send me replacements and I was to send the damaged chairs back. Then he said he was going to need my credit card and I told him no. I wasn't paying for anything. Then he came back on the line and said Office Depot does not warranty the product after 7 days. Then I questioned him and said so Office Depot does not stand behind their merchandise more then 7 days? He said that is correct. That is horrible to think that Office Depot does not warranty their merchandise longer then that.
