I had my doubts about using medication to break a 30 year daily wine habit. But it works! I’m not trying to give the med any assist by being ‘good’. If anything I get a bit peeved that after 1 glass of wine I’m done! I cannot finish a second because I’m either too full or it does not taste good anymore or I just don’t want anymore. I’m still shocked that the medication is so effective. I’m not going to stop medicating just so I can drink more. I’m a believer in this program. After 3 weeks, a half pill daily is still effective. And I enjoy my one glass of wine. Most importantly I can see a day when that daily wine habit subsides. Not my ultimate goal, but I can see this is possible. I’m sleeping better, waking up more refreshed, headache-free. So far I see no down side with this program. I am telling my friends and family about my success. And promoting OAR.

Prompt and professional screening. Very fast delivery of medicine. Non-judgmental. Okay to cut back - not total abstinence. Feel supported.

Oarhealth is excellent. Since starting the program in July, I have not had a drink. Since I have been drinking heavily for almost 50 years this is remarkable! The program works! I would tell anyone who wished to stop or moderate their drinking behavior to give the program a try!!!!

I’m posting this for a relative who wishes to remain nameless… “I’ve always struggled with alcohol—specifically, not being able to stop once I start drinking. If I don’t drink, there’s no problem, but once I begin, I lose control. Years ago, I quit cold turkey and stayed sober for about five years. However, over time, I drifted back into social drinking, which eventually spiraled into heavier drinking, especially during work travel. Every time I drank, I drank until I was drunk. My tolerance increased, and I found myself consuming more and more. The aftermath was always the same—I wouldn’t remember my behavior, I felt awful the next day, and it was clear to others that I was drinking excessively. I knew I needed a change, but I wasn’t confident I could quit cold turkey again. In fact, returning to drinking made the problem even worse. I was conflicted. I enjoyed social drinking but hated how it controlled me. Then, one day while watching CNBC, I saw an ad for Oar Health, which promised to help reduce or even stop drinking. The ad stuck with me, and after seeing it several times, I decided to give it a try. I wanted to enjoy alcohol responsibly, like others who didn’t have a problem, and stop drinking excessively. I visited the Oar Health website, filled out their questionnaire, and received my prescription for naltrexone. The first week was an adjustment—I experienced mild side effects for about five days—but I powered through, continuing to drink as I usually did. Eventually, the side effects disappeared, as I followed Oar’s instructions. What happened next was incredible. Within a few weeks, I had zero desire to drink. No cravings. I just stopped. Even in social situations, I no longer felt the urge to drink excessively. Over time, I found I could have one or two drinks socially and stop there—completely satisfied. Outside of social situations, I had no desire to drink at all, and I don’t. The transformation has been nothing short of life-changing. My drinking has drastically decreased, and for the first time, alcohol no longer disrupts my days or controls my life. Oar Health has been exceptional—responsive, supportive, confidential, and consistently professional. Their respectful approach made the entire process seamless and empowering. If you’re struggling with alcohol, I encourage you to try Oar Health and naltrexone. It has made me a different person—happier, healthier, and excited for the future. If you think you can’t change, you’re underestimating what’s possible.”

I’m so incredibly thankful for OAR. I was able to do treatment both discreetly and from my own home. With the medication provided I am started to notice a big decrease in consumption and more control.

Naltrexone is a life changer for me. I had been a heavy drinking functional "alcoholic" for close to a decade. It began with work, home and financial stress. Work stress remains high. The others ebb and flow. Meetings and therapy did not make a lasting difference. Within a week of beginning Naltrexone, my drinking was greatly reduced. Within 2 weeks, I had stopped. Within a month, I stopped taking Naltrexone daily, and have no trouble having one or two drinks, once or twice a week with my wife. Glad to have a bottle of Naltrexone just in case, but don't expect to need it. I first heard about it within the last year, and then about OAR a few months later. Thank you! Doctors need to let patients know there are possible treatments for common, serious issues such as drinking. I have never had a doctor ask me about drinking in a way that I felt I could be honest. So once again, thank you.
