Really works to reduce cravings. I have to learn to overcome my habits like when I’m bored or doing certain activities I tend to want to drink but not because I crave alcohol but because I need to retrain my brain.

A miracle!
First, Oar health is amazing. You have the ability to pause your prescription (keep in mind they send you a 3-month’s supply) with no hassle.
Second, I experienced some side effects in the first couple of days that eventually waned. It really is a “trust the process” type of situation. I’m now a month in and it was a change from night to day. Sometimes I look back and think, “gosh, how was I living this way?”
Third, I’ve incorporated the medication into my daily routine. I take a pill daily even if I don’t think I’ll be drinking. It has completely re-wired my brain. I can now find myself having alcohol in my fridge for weeks at a time without the desire to binge. For me, it was more about wanting to take back control over my life. I can now go weeks without drinking and if I do want to have a drink socially, I stop at one.
If you’re thinking about it, please make the move. You won’t regret it. I appreciate Oar because of its high value on privacy (no insurance companies contacted and discreet packaging) and the ability to check-in and join support groups (if you need it). Sure, it’s a bit on the pricier side, however, I needed to go at this alone and in private and Oar delivered on that promise.
In the end, you get what you make of it, if you have the willpower to quit, Oar will get you to the finish line! You MUST be committed for it to work. I can now say have clarity, peace of mind, and now find joys in other aspects of my life. I plan on taking the medication for at least one whole year and seeing where I go from there.
Trust me, your future self (and your liver) will thank you.
