I am sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with your prescribed medication and that you were taken by surprise by your membership renewal. While we do explain our renewal policies at sign-up and send out reminders of upcoming renewals one week in advance, I know that these can sometimes be lost in our inboxes or forgotten. We never want anyone to be taken by surprise by their charges, especially if Oar Health is not working out well for them. I would recommend checking in with the medical team by sending them a message after logging into your member dashboard, so they can give you advice on managing any discomfort you continue to feel and keeping on track toward your goals. I am sorry to hear that you are not seeing meaningful results yet. While some people experience an immediate change, it can take longer for some, especially when it comes to urges, cravings and desires for alcohol. Experts recommend giving the medication at least 3 months to assess whether it is helping. If you have not already, I would also recommend chatting with one of our coaches through your member dashboard. They can be great brainstorming partners when it comes to strategies to jump start change, including tracking, changing your environment, avoiding triggers, and/or starting new healthy habits.
