I have had the electronic paper now for a year at a cheap rate. I have enjoyed the paper. However, I do not find the time to read it, so I wanted to cancel my subscription. No so easy. I went through the following steps: 1) Tried to cancel via my account tab via the internet. But it is not possible to cancel a subscription on the internet. Calling the number for Denmark given on the homepage iI an told this is the wrong number (and given another number - namely 80830403. Calling that number gives options. If I choose cancel subscription, then I am directed to an answering machine saying "Thank you for calling 24/7. You have reached an unassigned number. Good bye" Tried to then choose other and at the prompt I said "cancel my subscription" Again I am directed to the answering machine that says: "Thank you for calling 24/7. You have reached an unassigned number. Good bye" Then I went back and used the Chat function. This worked, and after only 15 minutes of back and forth questions and information about all the benefits that I will loose by cancelling my subscription, it was finally cancelled. I appreciate that for many US citizens this is normal, but for a European, this type of deliberate obstacles and wasting peoples time when you want to no longer receive a service is unacceptable.

I spent 1 hour cancelling my subscription 2 weeks before the next charge and the person said they canceled and they did nothing. So just in case I called back again the day of cancellation and waited 20 minutes for someone named Georgio to waste more time selling a subscription and then telling me that it will take 2 more weeks to cancel now. #incompetence Then I wrote to the help line (NOT AT ALL HELPFUL). Person named Nagaylene copy pasted a response without reading my concern at all. And guess what it said - please go to chat to cancel. Of course because so far the only thing is that I don't know how to read english - and that's why I buy NYT right? That help section has no way to reply.So each time you explain from beginning the incompetence shown by each person in NYT. #fraud #thisneedstobeonNYTpage1 #horrible

They make is incredibly difficult to cancel your subscription. The tactics/methods are amateur for an organization of this tenure.

Terrible experience because they are so obviously left leaning. News should be neutral. When I watch the news if I do, I shouldn't be able to tell the newscaster is left leaning even if I know they are. They should share the facts, not their opinions. News has become a sham in this country. Get a life NY Times. Get down to actually sharing the facts. But I'm okay not watching or reading the news if you're not going to do it right. You make me sick!

I am so disappointed in the New York Times subscription service at this time of COVID-19. I had a subscription which I canceled due to closing my bank account. I was assured, in writing, that my account would be good until the end of the month. They lied. NYT closed my account and are refusing to deliver the paper, saying they will issue a refund (to a closed account)!! It takes 2 weeks. HA HA!! How long did it take them to take my money out of my account? 2 minutes.

Suggestion .. 72 million more people would read your paper if you were fair and balanced . Trump contesting the election with baseless allegations ? Sure , what did you think he was going to do ? He lived through four years of his presidency with baseless , bogus , failed claims of Russian interference and a fraud election all initiated by the Democratic Party. That’s actually an article that would be read , reviewed by both sides , and true !! If your going to publish allegations that are baseless , I think four years by the Democrats tops 2 weeks from Trump !!
