Good Intentions, Results Questionable
First of all, the driver was late. Thirty minutes late for an opera evening. Yes, it was a horrible night, snow, ice, slush. Some forgiveness is in order here, but thirty minutes is too much. Traffic was slow, but it was definitely not stalled. What turned up was a stretch limo. For two. I hate stretch limos. I am not a capo mafioso, and I do not need one. And for two people, it s moronic. Also a very bad vehicle for ice. The driver was exceedingly polite, could not ask for more. I'd have him as my chauffeur in a minute. Conditions for pick up at Lincoln Center after the opera were horrible, and he made things as easy and pleasant as anyone could have done. And, in spite of all, we had time for a glass of Champagne before the curtain! I would give this firm another try, but I would be snippy about pick-up. And the damn stretch-limo!
