Update!!! This has been one long hard road but I finally got NY Books Publishers to respond and they finally refunded me for the purchase of a package that was not a good fit for my project. It took around two years or so to accomplish this but I am very happy to report that I finally got my money back.

When I first started working with NY Book Publishers on my book, everything looked great. They promised editing, formatting, cover design, and distribution across platforms — all for what seemed like a fair price. In the beginning, they were responsive and helpful, and I really thought I had found the right team. At that point, I’d have given them 5 stars. But once we got closer to the finish line, things took a turn. The marketing team started pushing me hard to buy into expensive promotional packages, one of which was close to $25,000. When I said no, the communication slowed down to almost nothing. Suddenly, progress stalled, and I had to finish the editing and formatting myself. In the end, I paid another company to finalize my cover and files, which they did in a matter of days — after NY Book Publishers had dragged their feet for months. The upselling was relentless. They even quoted me $3,000 for an ISBN (which you can get for under $150 if you do it yourself). At that point, it became clear: this company cares more about selling overpriced add-ons than actually helping authors publish their work. If I could split my review in two, the beginning was 5 stars, but by the end it was a clear 1 star. To be fair, I’ll average it out at 2 stars overall, but honestly, I wouldn’t recommend them unless you’re prepared for constant upselling and poor follow-through once you decline.

Sarah Parker of New York Book Publishers is an inspiration and a revelation. Her kindness and attention combined with her diligence and dedication is an inspiration to me as an author. I have published two successful novels, Rivka’s Revelation and Rita’s Ring, with NYBP. I will bring my next two novels, The Blue Snow Meltdown and The Golden Strand, to NYBP in large part because of Sarah Parker’s professionalism and efficiency

Fake names, empty promises, bad product, and a contempt for authors permeates just beneath the cheery helpful ethos they so deftly fabricate. Go anywhere but here if you are looking for help bringing your art to life. These guys will do anything in their power to ensure that they get the most of out of you and provide the least amount of value for you. Bad people herein.

My previous books about Human Resources & Personnel Management had been printed by them without any issues, and this reprint went off without a hitch too! They responded immediately when I needed them! Once again, thank you for a perfect five-star experience.

There was a mistake on one of the pages in my book that didn't match the proof I had given my approval for NY Book Publishers provided quick, friendly, and reliable client service. They accepted accountability for the mistake and quickly supplied replacement books. Their customer service would have been excellent as a result. But that is only a small point, and I will provide them with constructive feedback if they make the same mistake again. All in all, I was quite pleased with their assistance and the end result.
