Do not recommend
I have used Nurx in the past and paid out of pocket in the past. I finally got insurance and was excited that they would pay for part of my birth control. I uploaded my health insurance card onto my account before I renewed my prescription (they require a yearly consultation). There were no instructions and the yearly questionnaire did not ask anything about insurance. Just like when I go into a doctors office and give them an insurance card I expect them to use that insurance card to bill for my visit. Apparently they don’t look at the insurance cards that are uploaded and charged me out of pocket. They responded in the app and told me quote “the responsibility falls on the client to make sure their insurance is applied correctly.” They never gave me any instructions the first place about how to “apply my insurance” I still don’t understand how I applied my insurance incorrectly - I gave them my insurance card before they renewed the prescription. I do not see how I did anything wrong. They never did tell me what I did wrong. I feel scammed. They said they fixed the issue going forward but still charged me the out of pocket fee and will not correct it. I did not want this medication if I was going to have to pay out of pocket for it. I do not recommend using Nurx. Just know if you have any issues with using your insurance they will charge you the full out of pocket cost and there is nothing you can do about it.
