Unfortunately, although this is a legit company, I don't think they handle their service properly or clearly. They misrepresent that you are being "seen" by a dermatologist when actually it's a nurse. Not saying she's not suitably licensed, but that wasn't what I was expecting when signing up. Also they do charge for medication without notifying you even though they ask for your insurance info, they charge you the max of the range they quote. Then when I ask why they didn't use my insurance, they THEN tell you they don't go through insurance for your service. The whole feeling of this company, is very hands-off and not a private, customized service as it is marketed to be like.

I used them for birth control pills. I came to them when ThePillClub shut down, and the experience has been extremely disappointing. I finally got my prescription, but I don't see myself using them again. The medical practitioner was argumentative and didn't bother to read my consultation survey, which led to several days worth of additional back and forth messaging. They're extremely slow to respond to messages. Their computer system doesn't seem to work very well- first I got a notification that my refill was processing, then another one that I had to get a new prescription (with a new consultation fee). When I asked why, I was told my previous Rx had no refills left. This despite having several months left and a refill still available according to the Rx label on my pill packs. The new consultation took almost a week, mostly waiting hours or days for the medical professional to respond between each message. Finally, after almost 72 hours with no response, I got yet another message saying I needed to submit a new renewal request. I messaged again to find out what was going on. I never got an answer to that message, but finally got the notification that my prescription was processing. Avoid this company if you have any other option!

Absolutely no human response when I contacted customer service for three (business) days in a row. Apparently they couldn’t charge my insurance so my birth control was going to cost over $150. I requested they send the script to my pharmacy. Absolutely no answer from support or in-app messaging. Trash. Do not waste your time.

They seem legit but they did not take my insurance. They take forever to get back to you and if you accidentally do your assessment wrong not knowing what migraine with aura is. They won’t redo your assessment and give you the birth control medication that works for you. If you had symptoms in the past and now you’re not having those symptoms anymore then I would say that they need to make their assessments clear to the one who is using the service but I don’t expect much from an app like this so its all at your own discretion and understanding how to use it.

It was an alright service, until I ran into an issue. Then I had to deal with long waits for responses to my messages. They never solved the issue, which is that the post office didn't deliver my meds and I needed a replacement. They didn't seem to care that I was out of my meds and just kept steering me to the USPS and checking with my neighbors. I told them twice that I couldn't find it and requested a replacement (I would pay the difference, I added). They were ready to see me go before they helped me with my medications. I'm struggling so bad with my hormones right now, it's not even funny :(

I have been using Nurx on and off for birth control for about the past 3 years. I've never had any negative experiences with them until recently. In fact dealing with Nurx has always been easy and convenient not to mention reliable. This past billing cycle they charged my card and it didn't go through so I went on the site to fix the issue the same day they messaged me about the issue. They charged my card the normal $60 then proceeded to cancel my prescription. They didn't bother to send my bc pills nor did they inform me they had cancelled my script. All the while, keeping my money. I reached out about the issue and was told that was a "pre-authorization" charge, that all online vendors do that 🙄 Yes they may, but they also ship your merchandise after they charge you, unlike Nurx. After a few heated messages they FINALLY returned the money to my account. But I'm still without my bc pills. I will be using another service from now on as I feel Nurx is not dependable. Sad that their service has gone downhill.

I’ve been trying for months to get my birth control patches and they have just been negligent, the response period is every 2 days and its not consistent. You have to pay money for a medical evaluation and if for some reason you cannot get your birth control they won’t give that money back

This company has a lot wrong with it. They charge you for things before giving you a proper price breakdown. The shipping is extremely slow, and there isn't an option to get shipping faster. They don't respond to your actual questions in the customer chat portal. Once you get your prescription, you never hear from your doctor even if you have additional questions. And they also don't give you information about the doctor (like the license number) so that you can make sure they are actual medical professionals. The whole thing is shady and more expensive than they let on. This will be my first and LAST month with this company.
