Nurx is not a fast service. It’s quite a number of days to get to a provider. Eventually, they do seem to remember to get in touch with you and you get a product. However, I only use them for topicals so I’m glad it’s not an emergency. Plus, it’s hard to move up in strength for items like tretinoin. Nurx starts low strength and moves you up.

I have a complicated love-hate relationship with Nurx, but I've been utilizing their services for several years now. Pros: love how accessible several kinds of prescription-based necessities are, not only just for me, but for everyone in general Cons: there are constant new fees yearly (which I understand!) but the service and messaging has gotten slower and worse. For example, it took me three weeks to explain that I wanted my prescription transferred, but the four different agents helping me couldn't understand or only helped me partway before tossing me to the next agent. That's super frustrating considering that I was running really low on medication. I would really hope that the new fees are to pay for more agents considering the influx of customers they have been receiving, but sometimes it feels like the biggest ordeal to get an updated prescription - which makes me question what kind of struggle do I want? This struggle or getting a prescription from a nearby in-person doctor?

I've used them for years and have always gotten the right thing. The only part that makes me sad now is the orders haven't been on time for about a year and every 3 months my hormones are completely trashed from it but it's alright 😊 they do still always come in the mail and as the correct thing, just a few weeks behind usually now

This company is great, but communication can be bad. My insurance covered my prescription for a year, and then nurx stopped accepting my insurance, but never told me, just delayed the order until I reached out. A notice would have been nice.

Initially had a great experience with them for about 6-8 months but over time have had longer response times and more difficulties with having prescriptions sent to the appropriate locations or my insurance being appropriately billed. Easier than finding an appt in my area but definitely having a more difficult time obtaining my prescriptions and paying the right amount for them in recent months. It's almost easier/cheaper at times to just not have my insurance uploaded and pay directly for everything, which has been frustrating.

When I first signed up for Nurx years ago...it was great!!! The past 2-3 years though are a different story. Prices are higher. Getting a response takes longer. Confusion is off the charts. You cannot get one representative assigned to your account, so you might get a message from 4 or 5 different people about the same issue. It is not a good experience anymore. Someone quoted me $90 per pill and someone else quoted me $25 for a month supply of pills. I have pics of conversation to verify...all within weeks of each other. I went with Ro. There was no shipping fee AND no doctor fee AND a cheaper fee for rx. AND it was so easy AND I got a discount on my first order AND I didn't have to pay anything upfront.

I have been using Nurx since the summer of 2021, for birth control and acne medication, with great success, timely shipping, and solid advice from practitioners. It isn’t lost on me why communication problems started occurring post summer 2022. Recently I was advised to switch to a different birth control due to high blood - perfectly sound medical advice that took my health into account, however I have had difficulty receiving my medication since. I reached out to them and they processed the prescription again - still no luck. It is unfortunate but not surprising given the LARGE demand for birth control at this time. I am not an apologist for any company, but given my prior positive experience with this company and the very timely troubles that have been occurring after a landmark decision was made this past summer…well, you do the math. If you need medication immediately, perhaps take your business elsewhere, but know that this is one of many consequences to come and speak out where it actually matters.

Updating my original review because the company has reached out to me, and the nurse practitioner who prescribed the wrong medication corrected the prescription. I will wait to see if the charge for the wrong prescription falls off or is replaced by the correct medication so I am not double charged. I appreciate Nurx for looking into the matter quickly and Trustpilot for lending consumers a voice. Original review: The company didn’t contact me for weeks and all of a sudden, within the span of 3 hours I was prescribed the WRONG birth control and charged for it as they shipped it already. Not only did I not confirm the prescription, but I did not authorize the shipment. I wasn’t even given a chance to review before they pulled the trigger. On the phone waiting to talk to someone and I’m starting to feel they are dodging ppl on the phone. I tried explain via messenger and was straight up ignored. The responses were “we sent your bc it’s on the way”. Disputing the charge with my bank and now going to work on canceling them and flagging their charges with my bank.
