They have been unethical at every step of the process. The customer service rep (James) said he'd be with us at every step of the process. After the contract was signed he completely disappeared. Their estimate was half of the final cost. We had some additional boxes that would add some cost but even the packers said this is a standard tactic with this company to lowball the initial quote. They said our goods would be delivered in 7-10 days. We're on day 10 and not only do we have no delivery, they haven't even left the warehouse so we're perpetually 4 days from any delivery date. They will not return our calls and have not provided any new delivery date (which according to the DOT Mover's Rights document is illegal.) We have filed a complaint with the DOT. Update: They are scheduled to deliver Tuesday which is exactly 3 weeks after their original 7 day date and one month after pickup.

When I spoke to a representative over the phone, the customer service experience was amazing! They were helpful with informing me with their different rates and able to work with my budget (especially since I had just graduated from college). We set up a date and time that was convenient for me. The movers were also punctual, which to me, displays professionalism and appreciation to customers. felt confident in being able to trust my personal belongings to this company. I have had past experiences where other companies do not even want to unload boxes into my new home without the additional fee. The Northern Star Moving Systems crew knew exactly how to pack and load as well as unload without me having to nag them. I highly recommend using them.

It turns they were really nice, professional, and gave me a discount on top of matching a local competitor. And they were quick to follow up and despite being really busy arranged for a moving within the next day. Ain't that a rarity now? Great customer service followed by awesome service is uncommon these days! I definitely recommend this for anyone who needs a reliable moving or self storage service.
