I can attest to the fact that these plaid pads are greatly absorbent! You see, the day the large box was delivered to my house, it was raining on and off all day, with thunderstorms. Instead of putting the box close to my front door, under cover, the box was left on the landing, exposed. Needless to say, the box was soaked. The bottom of the box almost collapsed when I picked it up from the weight of the water accumulating inside. But I had hope that the pads were appropriately wrapped inside the box and would be safe. I was wrong. The pads were wrapped in an open ended plastic bag that was not sealed. In fact the top of the plastic bag faced upwards in the box, allowing the water to pour onto the pads. Each pad was soaked and had to be hung over racks in my two bathrooms for over a day and a half to dry out. I called Customer Service the next morning to let them know what happened. They apologized and offered me free shipping on my next order. Not a great solution, since I am wary about ever ordering from NorthShore again.
