an absolute scam! DO NOT use this company, I have been battling for a refund for months to no avail. I caught a customer service person using a fake image and name and he also told me I need to resolve this so he can "look good" to the company. Told me I would have to wait on a refund (that I can only get through venmo?) because he placed a food order at Chilis....this place took my money and they were going to steal my things and i've caught them in lie after lie after using a fake profile and claiming to know NOTHING about my account yet calling me on my cell phone and leaving voicemails saying this guy NEEDS his job and can he pay me off via venmo to take all my reviews down. check yelp for my pictures of their terrible correspondence.

Northern Moving Systems has scammed me $584.74 as my deposit. On December 3, 2020, my husband and myself went to Barstow, California from Montgomery,Illinois to pick up my grieving aunt who recently lost her husband to cancer. On December 4, Northern Moving Systems was scheduled to pick up my aunt stuff from Barstow, California to Montgomery, Illinois. This company never showed up! No calls, no answer to our calls, no text, no emails, no communication whatsoever. They just decided not to show up. We missed our flight back to illinois. We stayed there several days, has to call off work, stayed extra days in a hotel, hoping and waiting for some form of communication from Northern Moving Systems to no avail. We went back to Illinois on December 7. My aunt has no choice but to leave most of her sentimental belongings in Barstow because of this company’s negligence. I filed a dispute with my credit card company and filed a report with the Better Business Bureau. Northern Moving Systems is the worst moving company. If this company scammed me $584.74, how much more thousands of dollars worth of business transactions from others. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from Northern Moving Systems. I simply don’t want you to experience what we have been through with this company. Thank you.

Absolutely horrible experience with this company. The moving company stole $7,000.00 worth of my jewelry out of my bathroom and also lost a box containing nearly $10,000.00 worth of my ski clothes. When I filed a police report, they contacted the movers and found out these guys were hired off of Craigslist that same day and paid cash. The company has offered no compensation and they don't even have an insurance policy in place. They have been quite unresponsive and offered no solution except that there is "no proof" that my stuff was stolen. I sent pictures, I have receipts. I don't know what more proof they need. I highly recommend against EVER hiring this company. They cannot be trusted and are not even BBB accredited.

*STAY AWAY* DON'T TRUST THE MANY POSITIVE REVIEWS, IF THIS COMPANY MESSES UP THEY DONT ALLOW BAD REVIEWS IF YOU WANT TO GET A SETTLEMENT, THAT'S WHY THERE AREN'T MANY! We moved from Illinois to Florida. We were going to do a uhaul, but didn't have much time to do this ourselves and get our cars down too. I called this company and spoke with a salesman and made it clear we needed our things by Sunday, which he said was fine. When I was patched to Quality at the end of the call the lady said it could be 7-21 days. I then said I needed to cancel very adamantly. She then patched me back to the salesman who proceeded to tell me that they say that because of law requirements but it will be there by Sunday. I was so scared after that the next day that I had my fiancee call this man and confirm this. He once again proceeded to tell him the same thing he told me. Come to find out, the 7-21 days was indeed the correct time frame. This employee lied to us for a sale. We came down to be here for delivery and now have had to spend tons of money on a hotel that accommodates our dog because we will not have our things for at least a week past what we were told. I have had to take extra vacation days from work. This company keeps saying they don't guarentee days. We now know that, but it is not the customer's responsibility to decipher which employees you hire to represent your company are telling us the truth. We could have done multiple other things to get our stuff here in time. This employee lied to us for a sale and has cost us over a thousand dollars in the process through this hotel stay and has caused so much stress. This has taken all the excitement of our dream move away and left us angry and exhausted. It got even worse upon delivery. We paid for a service for them to put everything back together. They did not. They took everything apart to where it was almost unrecognizable. The boxes were ripped open and smashed. Our standing speaker had a broken leg and our expensive mattress topper is stained and ripped. It is ridiculous that I'm told to take down this formal issue with the BBB when this company has done nothing to make things right. I feel as though the company is using this as an excuse not to resolve this. They not only lied but they broke some of our things and didn't deliver their promised services. After spending thousands on a place to stay when we had nothing because of their lies and having another smack in the face by bringing our things torn up and obviously thrown around and not put back together.

Terrible service!! I called for a quote and the guy hung up on me because I had too many questions. Seems like a scam!

They told me I needed a larger truck that would hold 2100 cubic feet but sent a truck that would hold only 1700 cubic feet and charged me about a $1000 more. The truck had to leave to unload onto another truck and come back. It took an extra 4 hours. They did a horrible job packing, even using some of my towels, sheets, blankets, pillows, and bedspreads to wrap with. No boxes for pictures, mirrors, just blankets. No boxes with individual compartments for dishes, glasses, crystal, etc, just paper and piled everything on top of each other, some broken. Almost every piece of my new 2 Y/O furniture has scratches and back of a new dining room chair had back broken. 3 men to load and 5 local packers. When furniture delivered from NC to Florida only 1 driver and a lady helper. I paid nearly $2500 to have them unpack and put everything away and they did absolutely nothing, not one box. I had to hire an individual couple specializing in unpacking and organizing at my own extra expense. I emailed Northern moving systems who are only agents, "but they dont tell you that" and Ocean moving and storage who they subcontracted to do the horrible, destructive move and got NO RESPONSE FROM EITHER. I SHOULD BE REIMBURSED FOR NOT UNPACKING AND SENDING A SMALLER TRUCK AFTER THEY CHARGED ME THOUSANDS EXTRA. Also need to fix or reimburse me for all the damages after unpacking. DON'T EVER USE EITHER OF THESE SCAM COMPANIES AS THEY DO A TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE JOB. Don't ever use Northern moving systems or Ocean moving and storage as they will RIP you off and damage nearly every piece of your wooden furniture.

Don't make the same mistake I did. This company is a bait and switch scam, quoting a low price to sucker you in. The salesman lied to me repeatedly, including claiming he was not on commission. The quote is worthless, as they jack up the price once they get started, and by that time, they have you and your stuff. Northern is just an internet scam, waiting for an opportunity to rip you off. My advice...run away, and use a legitimate moving company, that stands by their quote. The "good" yelp and google reviews are fake, just like this company. My clients whom are elderly and both have had strokes along with other medical issues were quoted a price of $4500 from Port Ludlow to Vancouver WA. 3.5 hr drive. They arrived and loaded in less than 4 hrs then were told its now measured in cubic feet used. Less than a bedrooms worth of furniture due to assisted living space is smaller. They then charged the folks $7500 since they had loaded it my folks paid. These movers took advantage of seniors in a tough spot. When they arrived in Vancouver WA they wanted more money due to a long hallway. Professional crooks to manipulate folks like this.
