We understand how frustrating it can be to continue receiving billing after requesting cancellation, particularly while going through the process of selling your home. We reviewed your account and confirmed that your cancellation request was submitted on May 20, 2026. Cancellations can take up to 90 days to complete, as the process also requires coordination with the utility to remove an account from the community solar program. During this period, solar credits may continue to be applied to the utility account, and customers remain responsible for production during the applicable cancellation period. Nexamp also bills in arrears, meaning there can be a delay of two to three months while we receive confirmation from the utility of the solar credits applied to your account. We confirmed that your recent invoices were for production within the applicable cancellation period. That said, we’d like to better understand your concerns regarding the solar credits reflected on your utility account and will be reaching out to you directly to review this further. Hello Janice, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your experience with Nexamp did not meet your expectations. We pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional customer experience and take feedback like yours seriously. We understand your frustrations regarding billing, electric rates, and the timeline associated with your account cancellation. To clarify, Nexamp does not set or control electricity supply rates, as those rates are determined by CMP. Our role is to generate solar energy credits that help offset a customer’s electricity usage. The value of those credits is based on CMP’s utility rates, and Nexamp then provides customers with a 15% discount on the credits applied to their account. For example, if $100 in solar credits is applied to a customer’s CMP bill, Nexamp would charge $85 for those credits, resulting in a $15 savings. Because utility rates, seasonal production, and household usage can fluctuate throughout the year, savings are generally best evaluated on an annual basis rather than month to month. We also understand how frustrating the cancellation and final billing process can feel. While utility processes can sometimes impact the timing of account removals and final billing, we recognize the importance of clear communication throughout that process and appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention. Hello Nora, Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your frustration and appreciate the opportunity to clarify the details around your cancellation and final billing. We understand that our billing model can feel unfamiliar at first. Because Nexamp bills in arrears, invoices are generated only after your utility confirms that solar credits have been applied to your account. This is why invoices may arrive even after a cancellation request has been submitted. Additionally, as noted in our contract and prior communications, utilities may take up to 90 days to fully process a community solar cancellation, during which time solar credits can still be applied to your utility account. That said, your account has now been officially canceled. We will be following up with you directly to review any remaining questions and help clarify anything else about your final invoices or the program overall.
