Would not recommend
Would not recommend! I have solar panels on one of my houses and the other we tried the solar farm. This experience has shown us that this is just a money grab. Also trying to cancel is like pulling teeth. They tell you it takes 90 days to cancel and you continue to be billed and they will bill for a full month even if canceling in the middle of the month. When calling support the guy on the phone said there is nothing they can do and I can file a bbb complaint. EDIT: I have tried multiple times to reach someone and have asked for a supervisor to call me, that has yet to happen. I have also sent an email request for a breakdown of all "earned credits", the wattage that has been obtain to convert to those energy credits, and all other charges since the start of service to the last day of service. We have yet to hear back or recieve that paperwork! This company does not care about their customers. The so called credit we were suppose to recieve has not been seen on our electric bill yet the charges per month have ranged from 160-180. I plan on warning others not to use this company as it is a scam!
Response from NexampSep 19, 2024
Hello Travis and Nikki, Thank you for your feedback. We apologize that your experience with Nexamp hasn't met your expectations, and we take your concerns seriously. We understand the frustration around the cancelation process and billing, so we’d like to clarify a few details that may help. Through your Nexamp subscription, you receive solar energy credits that reduce your utility costs. The number of credits each month varies based on how much solar energy your portion of our farm generates. This fluctuates throughout the year, with the highest credits typically in late summer and fall, and lower ones during winter. Regardless of the season, Nexamp provides these credits at a 10% discount. Please know that in your utility area, we only bill for the credits you’ve used each month, which ensures consistent savings even as solar production and electricity usage fluctuate. As outlined in our contract, when a customer requests a cancelation, it can take up to 90 days for the utility to process the request. During this time, you may still see charges as solar credits continue to reduce your utility bill. Since Nexamp bills in arrears, this explains why you would continue to receive and pay invoices after your cancelation request. Please know that we are in the final stages of canceling your account and are ensuring everything is processed according to the required timelines. We understand you may still have questions, and a team member will follow up with you directly to review your account and ensure we resolve any remaining concerns. Thank you for your patience, and please know we’re here to help.
