We take your concerns seriously and are committed to finding a solution that works for you. Typically, our solar farms generate the lowest amount of electricity during the winter months. However, now that we are in late spring and heading towards summer, you should notice an increase in the credits applied to your utility bills. Due to this seasonal variation, we recommend that our customers view their savings annually rather than monthly. As a reminder, we aim to offset roughly 90% of your utility costs throughout the year with our credits, which are discounted by 15%. As a Nexamp community solar subscriber, you have a share of a solar project that generates clean energy directly into the grid. Each month, your utility company applies reductions to your usage costs based on the solar energy your share produced. These reductions, known as solar energy credits, decrease your monthly electricity bill. Despite these credits, your utility will continue to bill you for your net electricity usage. Separately, Nexamp invoices you for the solar credits at a 10% discount, allowing you to save throughout the year. Our goal is to maximize these savings for you. It's important to remember that credit amounts can fluctuate seasonally; production typically dips in winter when solar energy generation decreases. However, if you're interested in receiving more credits year-round, we would be happy to work with you. We’d simply just need a copy of a recent utility bill to analyze your usage and rates.
