Hello Kristine, Thank you for reaching out. We're sorry to hear about the difficulties you're experiencing and are happy to assist. As a Nexamp community solar subscriber, you hold a share in one of our solar projects, which generates clean energy directly into the grid. Your utility then applies a reduction to your electricity costs based on the solar energy your share produces each month—these reductions are known as solar energy credits. Nexamp then invoices you separately for the value of those credits, but at a 15% discount. When you first enrolled in our program, we analyzed your electricity usage and costs to estimate a share size that would cover approximately 90% of your annual electricity expenses. Regarding cancellations, Nexamp processes them immediately. However, in Maine, utilities have up to 90 days to remove community solar subscribers from their systems. During this period, you may continue to receive solar energy credits that reduce your CMP bill. This timeline is outlined in both the contract you signed, and the cancellation email we provided. We have reached out personally to discuss your concerns and believe we have offered a fair and reasonable resolution for your situation. If you feel any issues remain unresolved, please don’t hesitate to contact us at [email protected] or call 855-727-4636. Our team is available Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM EST.
