A no-brainer--save money, no hardware
This is great if you don't own or have a home with poor orientation for solar panels. You pay $85 to Nexamp, get $100 credit on utility bill. What can go wrong? It is a winner. There is no catch.

I like the fact that we are using a clean air product and trying to do our part to help stem the tide of climate change. The fact that we did not have to make any major changes to our home made the change seemless. The only drawback is understanding the billing. We seem to be saving money but the bills come seperately for the supplier and deliverer. But overall, we're happy with our choice.

Thank you Anthony for your review and feedback. While we understand that 2 bills can be confusing, it is something we look to address in the future.

This is a great way to use solar-generated electricity, through your utility. My only suggestion is that, from the standpoint of a landlord, the billing hasn't been worked out smoothly, particularly during tenant transition. Nexamp needs to a) allow 2 emails for invoices, and b) work out the transition from old tenant account at the utility to new tenant account. I may or may not have worked out how to do this.

I appreciate clean energy options. We are not getting quite as much solar produced by our share of solar cells as we had hoped, but since no matter what it is, we have a 10% discount on the bill, it is all helpful. Saving money at the same time as saving our environment is always a good thing!

Thank you for your review and feedback Cathy, we like to see when customers save money and also help in saving our environment!

I feel good that I'm using green energy, and it is saving me money. The only con I have is the billing statement seems hard for me to understand, but that could just be me.

Hi Pete, thank you for your honest feedback and review. We will be working on improving our Bills very soon as we have listened to customers feedback regarding reading the bills. We look to improve it very soon.

I would give a higher rating except for the billing process. The bills I receive do not correlate with the service bills I receive from NYSEG. There is a time lag and service dates don't match-up between the two companies. I would prefer if NEXAMP would be billed as a part of the NYSEG bill as specified ESCO's are currently. We have plug-in hybrid vehicles and recharge batteries at night so, technically, we don't drive on solar electric. I do think that using NEXAMP is a good choice, however.

Thank you Tom for your honest feedback and review regarding your experience with Nexamp thus far. Sometimes there is a delay from our Utility partners which may not corollate with your Nexamp bill but have been working with our utility partners including NYSEG to ensure billing is accurate and timely- unfortunately at times there are delays on that end but we are working to get ahead of them so that you do not experience these inconsistencies.

my understanding was nextamp would pay the Delmarva bill and then bill me. I still get a bill from Delmarva.
Response from NexampAug 23, 2021
Hi William, thank you for your review and question regarding your Delmarva bill versus Nexamp bills. Your allocated share of the solar garden earns you energy credits as it generates power. You’ll pay us a discounted rate for those credits, and they’ll automatically be applied to your monthly electric bill from Delmarva. For example, let’s say your portion of the farm generates $100 worth of electricity. If your discount rate is 10%, you would pay us $90 and you would receive a $100 credit on your electric bill, reducing your cost. I hope this helps answer your question above.

Good experience in general. We suggest a more clear explanation of credit from utility company as it is sometimes problematic matching Nexamp charges to electric company charges.

Thank you David for your honest feedback here, this is something Nexamp and the Utility companies are working on improving and we hope to have a better long term solution.
