Thank you for your feedback about the program. We are sorry to hear about your experience and would like to take a moment to address the concerns that you raised. The program is designed to offset your historical electricity usage by sizing your “share” of the solar farm to offset your average monthly costs. Unfortunately, in your case, it appears that your current usage is lower than your allocated share, which has left you with a surplus of solar energy credits. These credits do not expire and so you will continue to have $0 bills from National Grid until the credits are used up. You will not lose the value of the credits that you have paid for with Nexamp. As the 6-month cancellation window, that is not a Nexamp policy, but a feature of the law passed in MA regarding community solar. Utilities such as National Grid only allow us to remove customers every six months. We will do everything in our power to get you removed from the program sooner. In the meantime, we are working with the utility to determine if we can find further resolution to this issue. We will be in touch directly with you.
