9/30 I tried to purchase tickets…
9/30 I tried to purchase tickets through the West End Theatre website for an off Broadway show. Their website kept spinning and spinning.. I assumed my order did not go through. So I tried again the same thing happened. I didn’t get an email confirmation. That’s when I discovered New York Theatre Guide also offered tickets for the same show. I purchased through them without a problem. I was also offered insurance which was $6.50 and it said there was an option to exchange or cancel. After I purchased tickets from New York Theatre Guide, I received three confirmation emails. I didn’t need three tickets and the price came to over $300. The West End Theatre box office refunded me for one ticket. I wanted to keep the first order I placed from them. I contacted New York Theatre.Guide right away. In the chat, I was told they would not cancel my order. They refused to refund me. When I mentioned the insurance that I purchased and that I was actually charged twice for the insurance which came to $13 altogether, they said the only thing they could offer me was a voucher for another show. I explained that I work in the theater myself and that going to another show is impossible because I work their hours. The only reason I wanted tickets for this particular evening is I took off from my job to see a friend who is understanding the lead at the West End theater and she was going on that night. After much back-and-forth, they said the only thing I could expect was a voucher. After much back-and-forth FINALLY, I received a refund! Well, it took time. I really appreciate that they were able to refund me and seemed to understand my plight. I saw the refund on my charge card today.

Thank you for your review. We are pleased that your refund has now reached your card, and we appreciate your patience and your kind words. The refund was issued on October 6th, and it can take up to 7-10 working days to return to your account. The delay was due to our payment provider and your card provider, and we are sorry for the wait.
