I'll admit that the User Interface at Newtek isn't ideal - unlike with other CD servicers I've used, it isn't clear within my account how I might review renewal rates applicable to my CD or where (or how) I might switch CD terms or even cash out. That said, when I went to chat with an agent, it immediately connected me not with an AI chatbot, but with a real human. Ja'Kira was a pleasure to chat with and quickly answered all of my questions to my satisfaction. The UI might fall a bit short, but the customer service certainly does not.

It may feel scary to be dealing with an online-only bank. I wanted to share just how precise and helpful the team was as I needed to transfer funds. I did not fill out the form as needed, and the team member was incredibly patient. Quit being a Luddite!
