Lou, my impression specialist was very kind and patient, but this kit is surprisingly hard to master! I'd recommend it only if you are on a budget and know what you're doing, but personally, I probably would've gone to an orthodontist to get new retainers/aligners next time.

it's been a while since i did my impression and photos upload and no news since then..over all when i dit have trouble with the putty they did send me a new impression kit and they were very responsive . that's why the 3 stars because i'm still waiting since march for some news .

1st of all opens 9:30 PST as if in Cali but in Phillipines so 1:30 am for them. They are dishonest crazy terrible. Now for the aligners: I had partial braces, when I lost the retainer I went with Invisalign and then I tried Smile Direct Club, all of those left a huge gap after my canines. All of them said they couldnt move my first premolars up..(wanted them to close up 8 rather than just 6) they all insisted that they could only close up the first 6. I was hugely embarrased by my teeth. With Invisalign it was $$$$$, the dentist said she could just build up the teeth on the side to close up that gap when treatment was done, but they could not in the end (and she even called out sick that day to not have to face me, leaving it for somebody else to tell me the truth that the teeth cant be built up and the space cant be closed, so I was fooled into wasting thousands.) It was such a waste and they sawed down some teeth, put buttons on my teeth, & they only did the same thing the partial braces did (which I lost the retainer for and didnt really want to use). So I tried Smile direct club to try to fix it. They give you a false image in the treatment plan, the treatment plan moved my whole teeth up but, in the end, they were doing the same thing only bringing tight the first six.. after my canines there were big gaps..and it was unattractive..for your smile to be so narrow and to stop at your canines and have these huge gaps..so I was trying to negotiate with them to change my plan & move my first premolars and they said they dont think they can, but theyll see if they can move it a little forward. (Give me a break, they took a 3D scan). When I went to the dentist for my next cleaning they told me I have bone loss, Smile Direct Club was messing me up, moving stuff too quickly & wrong. I stopped & only got a partial refund. Finally I went with New Smile. They DID close up that space for a fraction of the cost. After decades my teeth looked decent. Taking the molds was difficult. The trays they gave me were too small. They also had an inward slant so you think youre biting down in the middle, but scrape the sides. I attempted to use them anyways, should have sent back and requested the larger trays. So I had to pay alot to get more trays and I did the whole live help thing...so my molds were accepted. That was a pain and took a while. Now with the manufacturing of my trays, they took a while to send them to me even though they already recieved them from the manufacturer, I asked why, they admitted they had run out of the special boxes they send them in and are waiting for the new shipment to dispatch. I said, just send them in a regular box and they did. The whitening stuff had leaked in the box and I didnt like that stuff..but the trays were nice and they gave me two laminated sheets outlining my treatment plan, telling you which teeth were moving with each tray. The trays are cut real nice, they dont go over your gums, the top ones were short, but I had a (different) dentist that cleans my teeth (and also works with invisalign) look at them and she said they dont have to come up to your gums, and that the trays are decent, shes seen worse. So I used them, with each new tray its tight and hurts at first. Some trays, opened up a small space here and there, but then the next tray would correct it. My last tray though, left a small space on my bottom teeth, not even visible to the casual observer..but I could have used refinements, but, my main concern- the tooth sized spaces after my canines were closed up so I didnt do the refinements. I did try to save money by getting retainers from sporting smiles, but their retainers are trash, so I had to get retainers from here but its still a bargain compared to invisalign which I would have to pay over a grand for a lousy retainer. I tried the extra thick retainers from newsmile, they crack so the regular ones are both cheaper and better. It was hard to reach them on the phone but even if I left a message on the site or via email they were quick to get back to me. Its a small staff and they remembered me if I had contacted them before. With everything medical or dental related there are going to be unhappy people but overall theyre ok. I would reccomend them if you have gaps, I dont know about crowding but they are very good with fixing gaps and things like that and youd probably need refinements but you dont really have to get those. They did what others wouldnt do for a fraction of the cost. If you try them and its not working out, even without a refund, at least its not like paying 5 or 6 grand with invisalign and still being dissapointed. *How to earn the extra TWO stars? Well my retainers were sent to my mothers house instead of my updated po box even thought my po box was the address on my invoice. Your staff never sent me shipping email. And never got back to me on this occassion to own up to their mistake like cowards!
