Newark sent us a potentiometer ($175.00 order) and the product simply does not work. We contacted Newark for a refund or replacement... 8 emails, 3 pictures and a video later the problem is still not solved. At this point they are just sending emails in hopes that we will give up our request which I have done. But I will send a review each day for the next month letting everyone know not to use this shady company. I would give them a "0" on this review if it was an option. Terrible!!

I received a Phishing email asking me to pay a non-completed invoice that they claimed was unresolved due to credit card not being debited. I checked my Newark Electronics order history and saw the charge as closed for the same amount over 4 years ago. The order invoice number did NOT match that on the phishing email sent to me. The email contained a company address and name and attachement PDF that I did not open or click. I would stay away from Newark Electronics.

Avoid at all cost. The negative reviews are right. This must be some american shell company that is run from India with a very very small all Indian customer support team that has poor understanding of western integrity and honesty principles in doing business. When a minor issue occurred with my order with nothing serious at stake they already worried me with disingenuous fluffy answer. And then when something more serious occurred they made it very very hard for me to be made whole. It's either an un-invested (copy-pasted generic) overly polite reply that you know cannot be sincere where they pretends they will solve the problem but actually will put all the possible hurdles in your way so they don't have to. By the time you realize they're taking you for a ride and you re-iterate your request you get the sheep-to-wolf transformation where they turn their back on you and take the default attitude that if something's not right it can only be the customer's problem. Never seen anything like it in any western countries. By then you already deeply regret having ever found their website. Eventually i had to contact the manufacturer who were dumbfounded by the poor customer support of this merchant. Thanks to the excellent integrity of the manufacturer and their top class reactive replies and professionalism and only thanks to their actions was i made whole, but it was long and painful. At that point newark could have reimbursed me 4X my cost i would STILL never do business with them again. To be fair the support Indian person was following up reasonably well (with delays) with emails but his power seemed very limited and it would take him weeks to talk to whoever (in usa ?) is actually making the decisions (that you cannot contact). In other words the customer support team in India seems to have very limited and poor communication with their USa side warehouse fulfilling location. This business really need to take a course on customer principles but no owner would let a company sink like this, probably on its last leg.

I was forced to order a specific fuse holder for a laboratory grade oven from them because they were the only location I could find it. The item arrived but it is defective. It appears to be missing the spring to keep tension on the fuse so it simply will not work. I sent customer service an email several days ago without a reply. The online chat they have listed on their website is always offline and the customer service number listed runs you through the standard automated system only to tell you to email them. I tried to order more items in the initial order to have some extra stock on hand however when it came to the shopping cart it would only allow me to purchase the one item. Now I see this as a blessing because they would have been able to scam me out of more money. I am 100% sure this website is a scam. They should be charged with fraud for claiming they offer customer service at all because there is non if they wont reply to emails.

Terrible service and aftercare

They say you can't pay with your credit card but when you wire the money then the item that was in stock when you placed the order magically needs to be shipped from overseas. If your going to force a wire transfer atleast have the item in stock like your website stated when the order was placed.
