Got the probe, it appeared to be packaged nicely. No part number on new probe so just have to assume it is correct. Old probe had a part number stamped on it. The plastic protective cover was split on 2 sides. Since this was sealed from the manufacturer, I have to guess it was like that when originally packaged. I'd just expect more from a purchase over $400. Do not think Newark element14 had anything to do with this.
