Nightmare for frequent travelers. If you are a frequent traveler and have status with airlines or hotels. Your travel experience will go downhill significantly. Forget about a easy flight change or using your AA systemwide upgrades or making a itinerary change. You are going from whatever status you had to hours on hold and working out issues. Please consider your traveling team members or at least set expectations. I could go on and on.

Beware of travel credits. 1. They expire and Navan does not notify you of expiration. 2. If your new ticket is more expensive, you can apply each credit to one ticket - you cannot aggregate your credits to one ticket. 2. If your new ticket is cheaper it's also problematic, you can only book online using the credits if the new ticket costs exactly the same or more than your credit, otherwise the system automatically rejects it and charges you cash. I reached out and the consultant told me if your new ticket is cheaper you have to get a consultant to do it manually - how would I know? They say eventually someone would reach out by email to ask but it's after they charge me cash for the new ticket. They charged me for the new ticket even though I have enough credit to cover the cheaper ticket and the credit was going to expire. There definitely a lack of transparency here, they can easily build a pop-up that ask the customer if they want to forfeit the residual amount of the credit. This is not the way to treat your customer.

It is the worst corporate travel management service I have ever used. Not sure where they bring any value to a company. Everything is always twice as expensive, they are unable to solve any minimal issues, they always provide incorrect information when queried. If something would take 5 minutes to solve usually, via Navan it takes a minimum of 2 hours. Not sure why a company would choose to go with them.

The company falsely labeled air ticket without any baggage allowance as "one baggage allowed". When asked their customer support, they said you could purchase it and they would reimburse it later. Now I come back to them, and they said "oh, i am sorry, your receipt looks random and fake, we cannot do it!"

They blocked my account after my first booking. I had +$500 of credit on the account and I was unable to use them. I called them more than 10 times, agents are useless and the only answer is that another department will solve the issue.

I evaluated Navan as a potential TM for our company. Initially, I was very impressed with the offering. The travel products looked very competitively priced, the app was significantly more user friendly, the sense was that this would be our company selection. However, almost immediately, I started getting questions about the hotel fees being SIGNIFICANTLY on Navan when it came time to book, I am talking 35% additional charges between stayed hotel tax and unclear extended language. The assumption was, the usual suspect, in resort fees, ect. However, that was not the case! I called the hotels in question to find out that none charged extra fees. I then went on the specific hotel sites to attempt to book direct. The hotel room prices were slightly higher on the site but there were no fees. The total cost ended up landing slightly cheaper directly through the site. So what was the deal with the fees? Navan, is the answer, Navan is charging +20% on hotel bookings. Yes, over 20% the room cost for booking a hotel through the app. The upfront hotel room pricing is a scam. This feels illegal.

One of the all time worst booking platforms I have ever used. They don't book flights directly with the airlines. They themselves use a 3rd party site so changing any flights is an absolute NIGHTMARE. Customer chat team is horrendous and end up repeating yourself over and over and still no outcome. I made it very clear on what flights I needed to change, they continued to ask if I wanted to cancel a flight that was 3 days prior??? I will advise on their phone customer service line- when they actually answer it. Currently on hold for 1 hour- too bad if you have an urgent change to make?
