Great location there at mid-island
Great location there at mid-island. Close to the beach and the market. Very quiet street with a campground feeling. Excellent customer service when we called (2x, about minor things). Need that fourth ping pong paddle though. Could have used more kitchen & towels but washing was still very convenient.

We liked the house
We liked the house. It was quiet, nicely remodeled and loved the fact it is fully gated. The neighborhood is clean, seems safe and is conveniently located close to downtown PS. Our only complaint is we asked for the Jacuzzi be heated to 102 degrees (which is hot) ... it took forever to heat and never really got past the "warm" level, no matter how long it was on. Note: we had such a short stay so we decided not to notify management, so they never got a chance to address the issue.

Everything for the age of the place was…
Everything for the age of the place was good. Areas that need to be a concern. Futon old and not comfortable. Toilet slanted . Water in shower was too hot to shower believe it or not. Not sure what happened there. A musty smell which we sprayed lysol and burned candles. People staying above need to be considerate of those below. A lot of running and very disturbing at times.

This cabin was a steal and a blessing…
This cabin was a steal and a blessing for the value, location, and layout. The cabin is near the top of a small mountain yet about 5 minutes away from all that Pigeon Forge offers. The cabin was clean, organized, and functional. I didn’t rate it 5 stars because the bedroom window facing the mountains and bedroom door didn’t have blinds on them which welcomed too much light in the mornings.

KCs Island Retreat on Fripp Island
Stayed at KCs Island Retreat on Fripp Island 6/25 - 7/2/22. House needs updating, especially lower level. Kitchen and bathrooms really need work. Also, owner needs to invest in pest control. Saw many water bugs, etc. Overall, home is in great location and porch is amazing.

Thanks for your review, Jim. We're happy that you had a nice stay with us at KC's Island Retreat. We are terribly sorry for the for the water bugs, etc. that you found in the home. Water/Palmetto bugs are prevalent on the Lowcountry, especially when it rains. Please know that the homeowner has regularly scheduled pest control appointments throughout the year, but they will have them out again to spray the home. We've also relayed your comments about the need for updates to the home to our team in Sea islands. Thank you for being our guest, and we hope to see you back in the future.

We paid extra to have ski in/ski out
We paid extra to have ski in/ski out. That was the only disappointment with this unit. The conditions of the ski in/ski out were very sketchy. The ski out was possible but very icy. For the ski in on the floor above, I saw a man slide his skis down a steep ice hill to the complex landing and then he slid down on his behind. I am 70 and wasn';t about to attempt this. So, we drove to all our lifts. Besides this, the unit was immaculate, incredibly well-stocked and the view was worth the price. Absolutely breat taking.

Kitchen was well furnished good…
Kitchen was well furnished good view—too bad that shuttle doesn’t come by more often. The vacuum did not work

Overall it was a good experience
Overall it was a good experience. They could have provided more toiletries and a broom for cleaning up.
