The NASM course is full of hidden charges and technical difficulties
The NASM course material is great, but the NASM experience overall was horrible for me. I had multiple issues that were entirely the fault of NASM’s technical side, and rather than take accountability for their mistakes I was constantly told the “only option” was for me to pay more money for a workaround. This happened multiple times, including the week of my exam when my CPR certification (taken through NASM!) was suddenly unavailable to print less than 48 hours prior to my exam. When I contacted customer support about this issue, assuming it could be emailed to me, they informed me it would take 2-5 business days to be sent to me and that the “only option” to get my certification in hand in time for my exam was to pay for the course again, retake it, and have immediate access to that certification. It made no sense that an entire course could be retaken prior to them sending a single email, but because I was between a rock and a hard place, I paid it. From beginning to end, they charged me over $200 for things I should’ve had access to for free/were supposed to be included in the cost of the course. If NASM isn’t required by your company, I would not suggest getting your CPT through them.
