I’d 100% give 0 stars if I could. Never left a bad review on anything before as cliche as it sounds but I can’t even explain how mad I am with this company. One of there sales rep calls me back in August of 2025 and LIED nonstop on the phone call. He told me 30 minutes of studying for a month would be enough time to get this done. I told him I would have no time during the fall because I’m a full time student athlete who’s also working a full time job. I did 30 minutes a day for a month and a half actually and I don’t even think I was close to half way done. When I called for a refund they told me I would not be getting a penny back. So I wasted $1100 have no certification and was lied to by a rep no too mention this course isn’t interactive whatsoever so these cpt’s they’re pushing out shouldn’t be getting a job with this cert alone. Horrible company and service hate this place and what they did to me.

Practice exam and real exam not being similar at all. Course sets you up for failure unless you look for external references for the test. Psi exam is too invasive of personal space.

After completing my required CEUs, including a nutrition course, the NASM Customer Portal did not clearly explain how to submit the $99 recertification fee for my NASM Certified Personal Trainer (NASM-CPT) credential. At that time, my NASM-CPT certification was not available for renewal, but my NASM Personal Trainer Certificate (PTC) was. Because the portal did not clearly distinguish between the non-proctored Personal Trainer Certificate and the NCCA-accredited NASM-CPT certification, I reasonably believed I was renewing my NASM-CPT credential and paid the $99 fee. Only after completing that payment did I receive an email stating that I was now eligible to renew my NASM-CPT certification. I was confused because I believed I had already renewed it. I then learned that my first payment renewed only the Personal Trainer Certificate, requiring me to pay another $99 to renew the NASM-CPT certification. My request for a refund of the first payment was denied. The renewal portal should clearly identify which credential is being renewed before accepting payment, especially when a customer holds both credentials. A warning or confirmation screen should state whether the payment applies to the NASM Personal Trainer Certificate or the NCCA-accredited NASM-CPT certification. The current process is confusing, resulted in an unnecessary duplicate payment, and reflects poor website design and an unacceptable customer experience.

Absolutely the worst experience this time renewing my certification. It took me several weeks to have what ever technical glitch on your end fixed in order for me to complete my certification. Spoke to at least three representatives where I was not given correct information and one representative who just lied about what was being done. Very stressful experience while I wanted to get this finished early as a family member had an extremely serious surgery that I had to be present for without distraction. One representative told me I’d “ be fine” and not to worry. I don’t know what has changed with this company, but calling in I waited several times over 40 minutes. Terrible experience.

Nasm’s customer suppory and business structure sucks and steals so much money from trainers looking for education

Agent I tried to speak with when she called name is Olivia. I stressed i was at work and needed specific questions answered obviously due to a time constraint. This is the 1st encounter with an agent that signified a disregard for basic customer‑service standards, leading me to conclude that NASM does not consistently enforce accountability for all staff.

I’ve begged for a refund and repurchase as my company made me aware of our employee discount for NASM which I will pay $299 for the full bundle. I have spoken to an agent who was no help at all when I begged and pleaded for help as I can’t afford 4 $370.50 payments right now. I lost my previous job and my credit is about to be maxed out from these payments. I need help. I can repurchase the $299 through crunch fitness as soon as possible in order to not pay almost 1,500 total.

Horrible interface, the curriculum is made in a very confusing way. When I logged on after months of studying for the test the server had technical difficulties and I was forced to reschedule and pay 50 dollars. Scam of a program do not buy I implore you.
