THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM
PROBABLY PAY FOR GOOD REVIEWS - THEY JUST TAKE YOUR MONEY.
I honestly cannot express how unbelievably awful my experience with this company has been.
If I could give one piece of advice to anyone considering them, it would be run in the opposite direction. My experience has been a nightmare.
I paid $3000 USD in 2022, and in my opinion, that money may as well have been set on fire. Three years later and I have received nothing of value - no communication, no progress, no actual support. Just silence, excuses, and endless “your case has been handed over again” messages that lead absolutely nowhere.
From my point of view, the way they operate feels completely chaotic and utterly useless. Every time I’ve tried to get answers, I’ve been met with delays, confusion, or just nothing. It is genuinely unbelievable how little has been done.
I honestly cannot understand how reviews are so positive. It feels totally disconnected from the reality I’ve dealt with for YEARS.
At this point, I’m exhausted. I feel misled. I feel ignored. And I feel like I’ve wasted thousands of dollars on a service that has given me absolutely nothing in return.
Please - learn from my experience. Don’t even consider using them.
I wish someone had warned me this harshly, because it would have saved me stress, disappointment, and wasted money.

My Visa Source (MVS Law) - What can you buy for $21000 in Canada?
Perhaps, I could have bought a brand new car or have put this amount as down payment on a small house. But what I am sure about, is that if you engage My Visa Source (MVS), this amount will not get you a business permit or a work permit or permanent residency.
Allow me to explain, My wife and I are based in Singapore and we hired MVS to apply for a work permit and business permit. During negotiations, MVS offered us the expertise of their business team who would guide us through the setting up of our business. They further explained to us that for a “heavily discounted” price, MVS could apply for permanent residency for both my wife and I as well. However, we have to pay upfront for the permanent residency application together with their charges for the work permit and business permit. If I engaged MVS separately for permanent residency, after receiving the business permit and work permit, MVS would charge us almost double. Faced with paying more money at a later time, we agreed. In June 2022, we paid a grand total of USD$15500 (approximately $21500 Canadian Dollars) for one work permit for my wife, a business permit for myself and two permanent residency applications for both of us.
Firstly, there was ZERO business support. After taking our money, MVS casually explained that they are immigration lawyers and that we would need to seek the advice of a business consultancy for business related queries. We were not happy about this, but we needed to have the business set up properly as it was to be our rice bowl in Canada.
The first step of the process for obtaining a business permit is a labour market impact assessement (LMIA) which had to be submitted to ESDC. I couldn’t fathom how I paid this much money to MVS for them to get even basic information wrong. They put some other company name in their email. I am the main applicant. MVS took part of my wife's name and part of my name and submitted some hybrid name in their emails to the authorities. When I pointed this out, they reassured me that the application number is correct. The identity of the company and the identity of the main applicant are the things you don't mess up in an application for a business permit.
Moving forward, MVS submitted our LMIA application to ESDC on October 19, 2023. After submitting the LMIA application to ESDC, we were told to expect an interview by ESDC within 4 to 8 weeks. We did not hear from ESDC in that timeframe and we wrote to MVS. Oh it’s the holidays in Canada and there have been cases whereby ESDC approves the LMIA application without an interview, don’t worry. We should have been worried!
ONE YEAR passed without a sound from ESDC and hardly a whisper from MVS. In January 2025, I had enough and demanded a refund from MVS. Like a cat on hot bricks, MVS wrote an email to ESDC demanding the status of our case. ESDC informed that our application was closed. MVS submitted the LMIA on October 19, 2023. ESDC closed our application on November 7, 2023. About three weeks from submission. What happened you wonder?
After receiving the LMIA application from MVS, ESDC wrote to MVS:
“We have attached a payment form as the one in the application is not eligible as is much of the application”.
ESDC couldn’t read the entire LMIA application submitted by MVS. I can speculate that this could have been because of the file size and the use of inappropriate font colours in the LMIA application.
MVS sent emails attempting to persuade ESDC to reopen our case file. I rightfully instructed MVS to return me my money and they refused. There is a saying, if you pay peanuts, you get monkeys. Well, I did not pay peanuts.
I have lodged a complaint with the Law Society of Ontario. I am presently in consultation with a lawyer and I intend to file a case in Court against MVS. If you have had a similar experience with MVS, you can take them to Court for negligence. However, do note that you have two years to file a civil matter in court.

Entrapment
If I could give zero stars, I would. My Visa Source sold me hope with polished promises, then delivered nothing but stress, debt, and disappointment. They presented themselves as experts who would “handle everything,” but instead I was strung along, misled, and drained of thousands of dollars with zero results.
Their approach feels like entrapment: they hook you with reassuring words, take your money upfront, and when it’s clear they can’t deliver, they hide behind excuses, fine print, and talk of “non-billable hours.” There is no accountability, no transparency, and absolutely no compassion for the clients whose futures they are gambling with.
I went to them seeking professional guidance and support for my family’s future. Instead, I was left feeling betrayed, used, and ripped off. Their practices are not just unprofessional—they are unethical.
If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, stay far away from My Visa Source. They will take your hard-earned savings and give you nothing in return.
