This box has given me a taste of home and given me the ability to savor some wonderful foods, and memories from when I was in Trinidad. This is a great idea to provide this service. I recieve my Diwali box and can't wait for Christmas box. I am beyond happy and is a subscriber... A happy one at that.

The packaging was terrible
The packaging was terrible. The stuff arrived in a box that was busted open. Most of the biscuits like the rough tops were crushed and some of the packs were open causing biscuit crumbs to be everywhere. Most of the rough tops had to be thrown away. Very disappointing because the rough tops was something I really wanted. Overall the problem was the way the stuff was packed. Now more than ever because of the pandemic how can you trust something especially food stuff that arrives open.

Hi Nikki, we’re sorry that you received your box in such condition. The items were packed safely in its packaging and all items were sealed when it was shipped off to you. It seems as though this damage happened during transit and for this we apologize but this is something we do not have control over. We hope you understand.

The diwali box was my absolute…
The diwali box was my absolute favorite! True depiction of a Trini Diwali, brought back so many memories..I enjoyed all the snacks and thought the tikka stickers was a really nice idea. Well done! I was really pleased!

Disappointed and watsed $140 US…
I bought not 1 but 4 boxes thinking I was getting I guess the box with Kiss cakes, Cheezees etc. But I was sent the box of the month for October whixh was very disappointing in its entirety. I was very hurt, because I am out of 140 dollars that was designated for gifts for Christmas because I refuse to gift these items due to its undisirable content that in my opinion did not scream the sweet islands that I am from Trinidad and Tobago. The customer service was very eloquent in there response in letting me know I am unable to return the boxes. So be mindful when buying items that you know it is money down the drain if not completely happy with purchase. I will NOT TRY support them again any time in the future and you should think slow and hard before making any purchases.

Rukiya, we have addressed this issue with you twice before on 2 different mediums. As we stated then, the box you ordered was the October’s Folklore Box. While you were hoping for the September box, that was not what you ordered. Our website clearly states that each month’s boxes ship on the 21st of each month and if your order is placed after that date, you will be getting the following month’s box. Your order was placed on September 30th- well after the lock-off date. As we also previously mentioned, each month we consistently show the contents of the boxes so customers are aware BEFORE they purchase. They can also reach out to us to inquire and we will happily reveal the contents to them. We are sorry you felt as though the contents didn’t live up to Your expectation of Trinidad and Tobago but we can assure you that we represent our islands, culture and small vendors with each box we do. Your box contained popular local snacks, a popular BERTIE’S pepper sauce, a face mask from a local designer, a book written by a Trinidadian New York Times best seller on our Local Folklore and the like. All well enjoyed by others that received them. Besides the Folklore Boxes you ordered, you also got additional snacks of your own choosing added on that were a part of the September box. And while you feel the need to let others know your experience, this is first time we have had issue like this as our customers are usually well aware of what they order.
