I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Sage Dental located in C-umming, GA, with DMD Khyati Shahpatel and DMD William Zinney During a routine cleaning, I was advised to have a crown placed over an existing filling as a preventive measure. At the time, the tooth was not causing any pain, sensitivity, or other problems. Trusting the dentist's professional recommendation, I agreed to proceed with the treatment. Unfortunately, after the crown was placed, I began experiencing significant pain and sensitivity to hot and cold foods, as well as discomfort when chewing. These symptoms did not exist before the procedure. I returned to the office to have the issue evaluated. During the follow-up visit, Dr. Shahpatel noted abnormalities around the crown that had not been present before treatment and referred me to another dentist in the same office, Dr. William Zinney, for a second opinion. What I found frustrating was after that the dentist office already collected $1,000 for the crown procedure, I was informed that Dr. Zinney would charge an additional $88 simply to evaluate the crown and determine the cause of the pain. I felt it was unreasonable to be asked to pay an additional fee to assess a problem that arose following the original treatment. I was told that either I or the referring dentist would need to pay the fee before the evaluation could proceed. When I asked the original dentist would she cover the cost of the referral evaluation, and she stated no. As a patient, I expected the office to stand behind its work and help resolve a problem that developed after treatment. Instead, I was told that further evaluation would require additional payment. Because I was unable to get the issue addressed without incurring more costs, I ultimately sought care elsewhere. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Sage Dental or the two dentists involved in my care.

The cost was $12k for everything. Paid more than half up front and made a loan for the rest and on the second appointment they said that only covers half of the top, not bottom teeth. Did not finish the job, implant doesn't fit and hurts.

I have had a mixed experience with this office. The staff and providers are generally kind, and I am currently receiving orthodontic treatment here. However, I experienced significant confusion regarding billing and insurance charges. After receiving treatment, I was charged much more than I expected based on my insurance coverage. I made multiple attempts to resolve the issue directly with the office through visits, calls, and emails. My emails ultimately went unanswered and I did not feel my concerns were handled clearly or proactively. I eventually filed a grievance with my insurance provider, Delta Dental, which resulted in a partial refund and confirmation that some charges should not have been billed separately. My advice to future patients is to ask for detailed written estimates in advance, especially for non-covered or optional procedures, and confirm exactly what your out-of-pocket responsibility will be before treatment. I will not go back to Sage dental. They will take me to the cleaners. I never gave a bad review in my life on anything. But this time I have to. I was told that I could not have a cleaning just a maintenance . I never heard of such a thing. They will collect from the Insurance co. and from the patient. I was ready to pay nothing has my Humana covers two cleaning a years instead I had to pay $153.47 for the cleaning that It was minimal time involved because I have good hygiene habits. Very disturbing to deal with that office

Very disappointing experience at Sage Dental of East Ft Lauderdale. My husband was originally given one treatment estimate, then later presented with a much higher price after multiple visits without treatment or pain relief. He also experienced what he felt was unprofessional and hostile behavior from management during one of my visits. Due to the delays, worsening pain, and inconsistent pricing, he ultimately had to seek immediate treatment from another dental office. We hope Sage Dental improves its communication, pricing transparency, and handling of patients requiring urgent care.

I was so terrified for 10 years to have my broken, rotten, teeth extracted. My daughter went to have two root canals done at Sage Dental of Winter Haven. She told me to go to them for my dental work because they were so gentle and professional. I have severe 4th stage COPD, Emphysema, and asthma so I cannot be sedated at all. I am on oxygen 24 hours a day, 7days a week. I was petrified to have 18 teeth extracted. I made an appointment for June 3rd, 2025. Sage Dental of Winter Haven explained every step of everything they did and I didn't feel any pain during the 18 extractions. Dr. Karim Nashed, DDS is the best!! He was very considerate, polite, and patient with me through the molding, and fittings. I chose to wait 11 months so my gums would be shrunk efficiently for my dentures. I didn't want immediate dentures. He did an excellent job. I would refer Yami/Dr. Nashed at Sage Dental of Winter Haven to everyone I know for any kind of dental procedure. I was SOOOO wrong in giving this place a 5 star review as they sure don't deserve it anymore. I was disillusioned when I gave them 5 stars. There are not enough stars in the universe to give them that many negative ratings!! I had 8 teeth extracted at their practice and the next day needed help. I called and the idiot receptionist told me she couldn't help me as it was my problem and I should've talked to the doctor when I was there. I was in dire need of something for pain and she totally ignored me and told me to figure it out myself. I then called the Case Manger at my primary care physician's office to try and get some help as the pain was unbearable. She called Sage dental and was told it was none of her business and who was she to even call to help me. The day of the surgery I was given NO post-surgery instructions and when I asked a question the dr walked out of the room, they brought me a wheelchair and took me to the waiting room downstairs. The receptionist did tell my case manager that an antibiotic was prescribed and to use that for pain (FYI - antibiotics are NOT used to treat pain). However the instructions for that was to take 4 capsules 1 hour before my appointment with my regular dentist at a different practice and when I asked why there were 12 capsules ordered and I'm only to take 4 the answer was ask someone else. After a day of extreme pain the top manager at my primary drs office had to get involved and I was finally at 6:08pm ordered 12 tablets of Tylenol with codeine when I started to try and get something at 8:45am that morning. So I was never given any instructions and when I saw my regular dentist his assistant gave me a whole list of things to do and not to do. I was shocked and my dentist said because I didn't do some of the things recommended my healing process is not going as it should. I could write a book on the terrible way my extractions were handled and the follow up care that Sage Dental refused to give me and I can assure you that a LONG detailed complaint will be sent to every agency I can find on where and how to file a complaint against Sage Dental. And because my healing process is not proceeding as it should I have an appointment tomorrow with an attorney to look into suing Sage Dental. Don't ever go to Sage Dental they are totally incompetent and do not help once you leave their office. Really? My problem? My case manager is in no place to get involved? Figure it out on my own? No post surgery instructions?

The people at Sage Dentistry were awesome. I’m a senior citizen getting lower dentures I was nervous and they put me totally at ease.Dr.Kim explained what would happen and what to expect. The whole staff was amazing
