Sage dental are con artists! Pressure you into HIGH interest loans with the promise that they will submit you information to your insurance company with the expectation that you will get something back to help pay down your loans and then tell you when it’s too late that “ oh that’s not our job”. Also, Debbie, the owners wife is too much of a coward to call you herself and pushes you off to her office manger who pretty much doesn’t know anything because she’s new

Sage dental Pembroke pines office
I am writing this review based on my actual experience and my clinical notes from Dr. Jordan Hekmati, DDS.
I initially went in to see Dr. Jordan Hekmati for what I believed was a routine evaluation and cleaning of an infected implant/gum area. At no point prior to the procedure did Dr. Jordan Hekmati clearly explain that I would be undergoing surgery. In fact, I only realized something more serious was happening when the assistant told me to remove my hand from my mouth during the procedure—while I was simply trying to clear a small piece of debris. That was the moment I understood this was not just a cleaning, but something far more invasive. This lack of clear informed consent was extremely concerning.
During my very first visit as a new patient, Dr. Jordan Hekmati told me I had gum disease. This was shocking. I have been seeing my general dentist for over 25 years with cleanings about four times a year. When I shared this diagnosis with my long-time dentist, I was told that this is something that would have already been identified if it were truly present. I had only gone in to address an infection around my implant—not for a periodontal disease diagnosis.
The confusion continued with billing. I was told by the front office that they do not provide pre-estimates because they “already know” my insurance would not cover the procedure. This left me financially unprepared and resulted in unexpected out-of-pocket costs,
After the procedure, I obtained my clinical report from doctor Jordan hekmati documentation, states that I had “loose gingiva” and that I mentioned brushing, he "asked" if I brushed my front tooth or in the erea. I clearly said no just my other teeth and I was only "asking" about using a straw because it was never clear why I couldn't but to me made perfect sense to but I never did I was just asking him. However, I was never provided written post-operative instructions—only brief verbal comments. Despite this, Dr. Jordan Hekmati documented: “if she won’t follow my post-op instructions, I would prefer not to treat her surgically.” This places blame on me while failing to acknowledge that proper, clear instructions were never formally provided.
The tone of the documentation reflects a defensive and blame-focused approach rather than a patient-centered one. As someone dealing with an already stressful implant issue, this added unnecessary frustration.
Seeking clarity, I went for a second opinion with a periodontist who has over 30 years of experience. I was told that I do not have gum disease, which directly contradicts what Dr. Jordan Hekmati told me at my initial visit. While that was a relief, how ever the gum area had been left now disfigured following the procedure.
I made the mistake of trusting that I was receiving the best care during a vulnerable moment, trying to prevent my implant infection from worsening. Instead, I left feeling misinformed, financially surprised, and dissatisfied with the outcome of treatment performed by Dr. Jordan Hekmati.
Patients deserve clear informed consent, accurate diagnoses, transparent billing, written post-operative instructions, and respectful communication. Unfortunately, my experience did not reflect those standards.

I have a very terrible experience with Sage dental
I have a very terrible experience with Sage. There was a billing problem because Sage did not provide X-rays to the insurance company. The insurance company stated the charges were valid that just need the X-rays. Sage requested that I pay the insurance portion of the bill before I could receive service. I paid my share of the bill upon request. I even paid more than my share of the bill. However, they wanted me to pay the insurance portion also. The problem was, they did not provide the correct information to the insurance company. They are incompetent. The original estimates were inaccurate and even though I was due a refund. They wanted me to pay for additional services before they issued me a refund for overcharging me. Also, I was charged out-of-pocket deductibles for preventative care that should have been covered 100% by their insurance provider.

I went to this clinic franchise SAGE…
I went to this clinic franchise SAGE DENTAL in Altamonte Springs to have an extraction and to do a removable partial. When I receive the partial fit I immediately noticed uneven teeth. I went back 20 days later to complaint about the misfitted partial to see if something could be done about it. I spoke with Laura the dentist about the partial teeth being unevened. Their excuse was that this was a temporary and not permanent teeth. Yes its temporary in nature but the construction of this partial was supposed to look professional and not crooked like the job they did. They sent the job to another dental clinic as they dont have their own, so it took about a month to get the removable back. When talking to their supervisor and the non compassionate dentist Laura who ordered the partial did nothing but to defend their job. Making objections only refusing to do the partial correction. This clinic is nothing but money making trap, where they only protect their pockets but not the patients welfare. They over billed my insurance company and on top of it I had to come out of pocket almost $800 plus $2000 they charged to my insurance.
They do not back or guarantee their service or any procedure they do. They knew that the partial will misfit, they knew the gums shrinks after the extraction, they failed to compensate for this the staff seems inexperienced and lack of common sense. They did it on purpose to possible get me later for implants. I will never go to SAGE DENTAL. Moreover public beware of this dental clinic, who is just making money of the uniformed patients and not being responsible for their mistakes. It was a mistake on their part, I went to a dental lab school and studied dental dentures and partial construction. Sage dental is not to be trusted.

Extremely Disappointing Experience at…
Extremely Disappointing Experience at Sage Dental Apopka
I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with my experience at Sage Dental in Apopka.
I brought my daughter to her scheduled appointment and we waited for approximately one hour in the lobby. Despite explaining the situation, the receptionist refused to even allow us to see the doctor because she claimed that my daughter had received a “free consultation” there approximately three years ago.
That reasoning made absolutely no sense to me. We were there for a completely different dental care need, and after waiting an hour, I expected at the very least to have the opportunity to speak with the dental professional and have the situation properly assessed.
What made the experience even worse was the receptionist's rude, dismissive, and condescending attitude. She would not even buzz the doctor or make any meaningful effort to address our concerns. There was no empathy, no attempt to find a solution, and no basic courtesy toward a parent who had brought her child in for medical care.
Healthcare and dental practices should understand that patients are not customers standing in a checkout line at a grocery store. People come to these offices because they need professional care, and they deserve to be treated with dignity, patience, and compassion.
Sage Dental should seriously reconsider how patients and families are treated at the front desk. Receptionists are often the first point of contact for a medical practice, and their behavior can completely define a patient's experience. Staff dealing with patients, especially children and their parents, should have the professionalism, communication skills, education, and basic empathy necessary to handle difficult situations respectfully.
Unfortunately, our experience left us feeling dismissed and disrespected rather than cared for. Waiting an hour only to be turned away without even being allowed to speak with the doctor is unacceptable.
I strongly hope management takes this complaint seriously and reviews both the policy that resulted in this situation and the way patients are treated by front-desk staff.

My Time doesn’t matter
As usual, they call, email, text about your appointment….then call to ask is to come early. So I push my 91 yr old mother to arrive early and they proceeded to make us sit 30 minutes (and counting…still sitting here). I know no shows are a problem but everything about this office shouts “You the customer and your time is not important or valued by us, our time and our schedule matters way more than yours.” We wait and wait every time we come.

I visited this office seeking relief…
I visited this office seeking relief for a painful, sharp piece of a broken filling wedged between my teeth. Instead of helping, the dentist refused to remove the debris unless I committed to an expensive, non-urgent crown procedure that couldn't even be performed that day.
The entire experience was unprofessional and degrading. The dentist was unacceptably rough during the exam and repeatedly shamed me for my dental history rather than addressing my acute pain or asking about my barriers to care. The staff also made false, defamatory accusations against me following my frustration with the refusal to provide care. I left this office in just as much pain as when I arrived. I would not recommend this practice to anyone.

Very poor customer service
Very poor customer service. Have to wait at least 2 hours every time I go. Told me I didn’t call today but I had proof I did. Was storming and told them I would be late. Was within grace period. When I got there they wouldn’t see me. Manager was very rude. Do not waste your time at this office!
