I tried to order an album that was advertised as "in stock, ships in 1-2 days". I placed the order and got a confirmation email, saying my order was received, but had no ship date. Two weeks later, still no album. I wrote them to inquire, and they told me it was actually out of stock and they could not fulfill the order. Deeply disappointing experience; this company seems to lack professionalism and/or basic inventory management control. Wouldn't waste my time depending on them to fulfill a future order and wouldn't recommend them to anybody.

I ordered my son's birthday present over a month ago! I emailed them about it and they keep saying it's on backorder and that they would harge me for shipping but this is ridiculous, I'm giving them till Monday and then I'm canceling my order. I will never order from them again. Completely ruined my son's birthday surprise.

Ordered items through shopthewalkingdead.com on 11/24. Received email confirmation but then nothing. Ordered from Amazon after that and received everything. So on 12/1 I checked my order status and 5 out of 7 items said "There is an error with your order. Please contact Customer Service." Waded my way through their horrible CS on the site to complain. Got an email back the next day saying the order was stuck in the system but it is fixed now and will ship between 12/2 and 12/16 arriving between 12/4 and 12/29 (after Christmas). So I replied to the email stating I would be returning anything that didn't arrive before Christmas. They emailed back to let me know I needed to get an RMA number prior to returning anything and the email had a link to my order status so I clicked the link and the order status again had 5 of the 7 items as ""There is an error with your order..." So I went to Amazon, found all the items, purchased them, told myplaydirect.com to cancel my order entirely. Now let's see what happens from hear.

I'm not the kind of person to overreact when things go wrong, but my experience with this company has been a disaster from step one. I pre-ordered a cd from them, so I expected to receive it before or within a reasonable amount of time after the release date. However, the expected shipping time was up to two weeks after the release date. (Mind you, I ordered three months in advance) Not only did they wait until the last possible day to ship it, they shipped it a day late! They made a point of saying that they'd refund the shipping and handling charge. The very next day a charge shows up on my account, not a refund. Turns out the receipt I recieved when I placed the order (the email literally said receipt) wasn't a receipt at all, and they just charged me for my order a day after shipping it. At this point I was fed up, so after increasingly heated complaints I accepted that the experience was almost over and at least I'd get the $9 refund. Except that it's been three weeks and I still haven't received the refund or been contacted about it. I've complained multiple times and every time they're "checking into it." This company is awful and they take advantage of the fans' commitment to artists to make money and treat their customers terribly. If I could give them 0 stars, I would.

I bought three items from The 1975 store almost two weeks ago. I paid using the Amazon Payment option. As soon as I placed the order, I checked the status and it said there was an error with my order. I tried emailing them, and they said that it was because the new items I ordered didn't have a UPC code yet. A few of the items listed on the site stated that they were not yet in stock, but I triple-checked all the items I purchased, and they all say that they are in stock. I emailed them a second time a few days later, and yet I still got the same answer. The faq says that items will ship within a week in domestic US. Yet here I am, almost two weeks later and I am still getting the same error message. I purchased my items in plenty of time for them to arrive before their concert I'm going to on Wednesday. Now, I won't have them in time. I'm very frustrated with the lack of customer service I have received. They don't even have a phone number listed on their website. Email is the only way to reach them. Very ineffective and inconvenient. After I receive this order, I will never do business with myplaydirect ever again and I will discourage anyone else to use the site as well. I am very disappointed.

After placing an order through Amazon payments for an order with myplay direct, I recieved an email that my payment did not go though, however I had a confirmation email from Amazon and the charge appeared on my credit card statement. I tried to resolve this issue with myplay direct customer service and kept getting the same response that they "couldn't renew my order and to place it again". After multiple emails that did not answer my questions or resolve the fact that I was charged for something that I did not recieve I finally had to file a complaint with Amazon payments, which finally gave me a refund. I will not be doing business with myplay direct ever again in the future. I am very unhappy with how I was treated and how my issue was handled.

I placed my order for Weird Als new album on July 18th with an expected arrival date in early August. Their website showed a status of delivered come the estimated arrival time but it was not. I contacted them and let know of this. They recommended that I go to my neighbors homes to see if it had been delivered to the wrong address. I was reluctant but did so to no avail. I sent another email letting know that I was unsuccessful in teh search which had gone unanswered. I sent another email a week or so later that said they would resend and update me with a delivery date. That update never came, through many additional emails they informed me that they were currently out of stock and once more came in would expedite my order. As of two weeks ago I have still not received an order and requested a refund. They have agreed to do so and again have promised to inform me once the refund is processed, that was over two weeks ago. I am furious at this process as I have had to waste my time for over 4 months due to incompetence and lack of business ethic.

pre Ordered four package..after original order cancelled. Payment taken out on 13 November album due for release on 17 November. NO delivery of item still showing as processing, numerous e-mails promising delivery nothing materialised promised 50% refund for inconvenience and goods. NOT received either. Asked for FULL refund as purchased elsewhere...as don't have a problem with stock. Was notified was shipped from the UK so whats the delay, refusing to answer any e-mails I send. Obviously a dodgy website avoid at ALL costs if everyone looses £20 they making a nice little amount daily. Have notified fraud department at bank and police so they can deal with them. PLEASE avoid at all costs don't waste your time and especially your money. They have a nice enticing website with one direction for the sole purpose of reeling in all the teenagers to get their parents to order from it. Waiting now to see what else they have done with my card details as obviously NOT a legit site. Sony and syco should be ashamed being affiliated with the site.......
