I don’t know why Metabolic meals has such a poor rating. I’ve had five weeks of meals so far and have found all the GF meals tasty and plenty of food. Every single one had vegetables unless you select a protein only item. I give them 4 stars because there isn’t a telephone number to call and emails go unanswered. The average meal is between $12+ to 13+ per meal unless you want a larger portion of protein then your looking at $14+.

I’ve been receiving meals for 3 weeks. The food is very good, selections are good, seasoning is perfect. One delivery was one day late and tracking deliveries is poor but overall compared to a couple of others I’ve tried I will be continuing to order.

The food quality is good, reviews here are harsh. I just ate one in my freezer after 6 months, still good. And I have tried at least 5 other companies, all others were full of sodium and heavy sauces. Once you set orders not to come automatically, no problems.

I haven’t ordered in awhile. Only meal program, to my knowledge, dedicated to gluten free and great food! When I had an issue with order showing up thawed, it was possibly due to weather in transit and I was offered refund or replacement. It is difficult to reach someone LIVE but when I did, they seemed family oriented and considerate of me. I miss these meals. My IBS/inflamed colon calmed. I got to eat some foods that previously caused severe cramps. I think their chef must work diligently to balance each meal out and keep the needs of customers in mind. They let me skip and adjust meals as long as it was prior to deadlines. Only reason I didn’t choose 5 stars is reaching them can be challenging. They work with you. FYI I appreciate that most spices, salt, pepper is limited so I can add or not add any. For sensitive eaters, this is a Win Win! If its bland to you, grab some herbs, spice and personalize it!

After two deliveries from Metabolic Meals (henceforth referred to as "MM"), I will continue ordering from them. Although not gourmet fare, the meals are well-prepared, tasty and perfectly proportioned for me. I was very impressed by their customer service. Prior to ordering I wrote to them to find out what type of olive oil they use, asking if it is "pomace" olive oil. This is the last pressing mostly used for industrial purposes. Two of the top meal delivery services I tried and really disliked use pomace "olive oil". It was horrible to the point to making me sick. The MM customer service agent wrote back to me within an hour. She actually seemed a bit insulted by my question, which made me chuckle. I was not required to give MM my credit card number before choosing the meals. There are too many companies who do just that. I just ran across one I was going to try as a comparison who does charge customers for their first order without a final approval. My MM orders have arrived right on time, with the box wrapped in plastic, and left on dry ground. I suspect that MM pays extra for our legendarily bad delivery service, which left boxes from the other meal service companies in mud puddles, unprotected, in driving rain. To my surprise, I actually feel better after having the MM dinners. Prior to this experience, I considered the current "gluten free" preoccupation to be just another fad. I thought that my increasingly bad reactions to the breads I had been eating for years to be linked to the preservatives that have been steadily increasing in prepared foods since the start of Covid. That is surely part of it. But obviously not all in my case. My only complaint about this service is that the boxes are rather heavy. They are obviously concerned with the meals arriving safely with no chance of becoming too warm. I rather wish that they would use dry ice rather than ice packs, but at least they arrive cold! The last very positive aspect for me is that my exceedingly picky, spoiled, and elderly Maltipoo loves whatever I leave for her. She has always eschewed offerings with regular pasta, but loves the gluten-free. Who knew? (-;

When you sign up you are assigned an admin who is your contact for any questions or issues. He's always answers quickly by e-mail. The site explains how to switch from subscription to ordering when you want. Once when I ordered near 4th of July UPS delivered my meals 11 days late and the food was ruined, my admin immediately responded with a credit. My only complaint is the grass fed beef they use is so tough the steak meals are not edible. The shredded and ground beef meals are good and they have excellent seasoning. Their chicken meals are the best. Portions look small but because they are high in protein I am always full. Overall I've had a good experience with this company for over a year.

Some of the meals are not that good like the Turkey with sherry wine sauce. The pork tenderline was not good either. It would be nice to rate meals like Factor did

I have had Metabolic Meals for three weeks now, and have to say that the meals are very good for the most part. Yes, I have had two awful meals (meat very tough and chalky), but those have been the exceptions. I look forward to continuing to get the meals, and hope things will be better in the future.
