A necessity for me.
I have terrible cramps - debilitating, writhing, absolutely insufferably terrible cramps. Every single month, without fail, days 2 and 3 and sometimes 4, I eat ibuprofen and midol and try my best to get through my daily obligations - sometimes they are so bad, I have to take sick time and head to bed, though they're much to terrible to sleep. Livia is an absolute savior during these times. It's nearly instant relief, and I am so dependent on the device that I actually have two - one to wear and one to charge so that I can seamlessly cycle in between the two. I can wear it for several hours before needing to be removed, if I wear it for too terribly long, my skin starts to itch, probably from the contact pads. Usually taking it off for a little while helps, sometimes I just slightly reposition the pads. The only issue I've had with my Livia so far is I've had to replace the leads - they are very fragile, and have gotten damaged during my sleep - probably from tossing and turning. I generally try not to sleep with the Livia on for this reason, but sometimes the pain is too much and I have to put it on, falling asleep as the pain subsides before taking it off. Fortunately, the leads are cheap and easy to replace. I really can't imagine trying to get through the workday without Livia - or even just day to day life. It is the immediate relief that I absolutely need when I can't access other methods of pain relief - hot baths, pain medication or heating pads - and it's discreet to wear out and about, so it's not even obvious that I'm wearing a device.
