As someone who suffers from horrific cramps, I'm always skeptical of a brand that says they can make it better, but Livia actually does. My cramps are definitely not gone when I use my Livia, but it does temper them a bit. What I find most appealing about it though is that you can discreetly use it out and about meaning I'm not tied to a rice heating pad.
