Was expecting more success with reinstatements since the first time it went so well and effortlessly.
This second time? Not at all. They spent months sending appeals while barely changing the strategy until I pointed out we should switch.
The communication was frequent but not really helpful. Other than reporting the actions taken, I couldn't reach out to the rest of the team to review the strategy or ask anything. We had one call and didn't hear from them since then.
I believe they're the best ones out there to deal with every issue Amazon related. I know results aren't guaranteed and that's clearly said in the ToS.
The point being, I can't really recommend a service that oftentimes doesn't work.
I would have paid to extend the service but I don't feel like they're going to change their approach. Whatever they did so far clearly isn't working. Maybe Amazon just got stricter this year, we'll never know.

Thank you for sharing your experience
Our team has tried and tested POAs and a history of success, however Amazon does throw a monkey wrench into our POAs when there is a policy change.
We will do our best to optimize this moving forward
Also, I reached out to request additional information as I want another troubleshooting specialist to look over your case to see if we can approach it at a different angle

This review is a mixed bag
This review is a mixed bag. Last year, we decided to launch on Amazon as a family-owned business of 38 years, manufacturing our own line of items. A friend recommended John of MAG to speak with. We set up the call, were razzled and dazzled by him, and super impressed with his knowledge of all things Amazon. It was a one-call close; we quickly signed the contract (a significant chunk of monthly spend plus a revenue share).
We were quickly onboarded and began to work. The first month and a half was horrendous. Our brand manager was severely incompetent, sometimes waiting days to return an email from my anxious boss. After a discussion with our brand director, we were given a new team. The new brand manager, John, was fantastic in the work that he led and did for the brand. We chose not to renew the contract and went on a month-to-month term.
Then our new brand director parted ways with MAG (he was excellent and at least jumped on one call), and we received a new one. The only time I spoke with him was after we sent the termination email. As for my brand manager John, I could not speak any higher of him. He is amazing, super communicative, empathetic, and gets stuff done. I hope he does not leave MAG as he is a tremendous asset.
Now the negatives: We felt our PPC side was not managed correctly, with spend not controlled in a proper manner, higher costs, spend on non-performing keywords, and it kind of felt automated and not strategic enough—just sort of a throw against the wall and let's see what sticks, and well, we can always adjust if he complains.
In June, we decided to terminate MAG and go with another agency. In that short time, we have had a 54% month-over-month growth as well as a reduction in ad spend with incredible growth. Now we are paying more to this agency for management but making up for it with results.
Now the ugly: We terminated the agreement and, per the contract, paid for the following month and for the PPC revenue share until the date we terminated. We informed MAG not to touch the PPC from July 1st onward. While we begrudgingly paid with no major protest for a month of no real work on the account, what was shocking was getting billed for PPC revenue share for work that someone else did. We paid it as that's how we have done business for 38 years—honestly and straightforward—but it has left a very bad taste in our mouth, and we could never recommend MAG again.
What prompted this review was a LinkedIn post by Steve Pope polling why his agency was static. Here are some suggestions: Your clients feel pushed to the side, and we are not sure what you want to do... Be an agency or an educator? Reduce turnover, as the only constant on my team was my brand manager. Have your brand directors reach out to their clients, even if just to say hello and ask if any help is needed. I shouldn't have to hear from him only to ask what he can do to make me stay. Make me feel like a valuable client (perhaps we are too small, only paying $5k+ a month and not one of the big dogs). These are some of my thoughts on perhaps how you could decrease churn. This review would have been fewer stars save for John, my brand manager.

No responsibility, no accountability when needed
I had 2 separate experiences with myamazonguy. One for a Coaching call with one of their consultants. This one went well. A rating between 4 and 5 stars would be fair for this service.
The second experience however was about a trandemark registration and this is where 1 star is too much and I'll try to explain why. On their site it was stated that the service of "$825 total pricing: Includes USPTO filing fee, TM research, and any follow up communication" The TM research part was conducted extremely poor by their team. Again, on their site it was stated "We search and compile: we'll conduct a search to make sure your trademark isn't too similar to existing trademarks already in use". Well, they failed big time on this part. After one year from the momemnt of the application was submitted, I got a mail saying that there is a similar trademark (one dash character difference). Myamazonguy asked for $400 for the attorney to answer to that specific issue. I started to do my homework thoroughly and found out that this attempt didn't have more than 10% chances to be accepted/succesfully. That's why I told them that I won't pay because the issue was caused by a fault of their own that they advertise as part of the service fee and most importantly "any followup communication" was again part of the service. Then, the second part is more disturbing. They kind of knew (I'm pretty sure about it) that we stand no chance of getting this through, but they still tried to get money out of it. This sounds as they follow numbers, profit without being accountable for what they advertise they offer.
I'm still following them. I'm sure they have some experience in what they do, but be careful how they treat you. It's not a friendly provider. They will rip you off if you give them the chance.
At first I wanted to give them 1 star because of the bad experience I had with them about the trandemark registration, but they are somewhere around 3 stars on avergae if you leave your emotions out.

Steffann is right. We needed to do a better job of explaining what is not included in the $825 fee. I'm sorry we let you down. I deserve the review you left.
