I have placed several orders with this company over the last few years and have been very pleased with their eyeglasses, their prices and their customer service.

Cheap and quick

Love my new glasses! Super fun! My only complaint is dont bother paying for expedited shipping- these come from China, and shipping is slow regardless. But patience pays off!

I am pleasantly surprised by the quality, clarity and fit of the glasses I ordered. Since I have worn glasses for many years, I know what size glasses are best for me (carefully check all dimensions) and what I need —spring hinges, progressive and photochromic lenses. I was able to receive two pairs of glasses for one-sixth of the cost I have paid previously for one pair of glasses. Glasses are sent well-packaged and arrive several weeks after you order.

It would have been 5 stars but I was never told that my order was coming in two separate shipments. I was just told my order shipped and was given ONE tracking number. I received my order and one pair was missing. I had to reach out to customer service to find out the missing pair was shipped separately and was given the second tracking number. Why I wasn't given both tracking numbers to begin with along with a note saying there were 2 shipments is a really dumb business decision.

The quality of the glasses is good for the price. The process for using the online ordering system was a bit confusing however I was able to put most of my prescription in the correct boxes. There was not always room for all the specialty necessities of my prescription. However I understand it is due to my terrible eyesight. It did take longer than I thought it would for them to get my order together and ship it to me. However I am pleased in general with my purchase.

Underwhelming at best. Frames feel cheap, not sure how long they will last, case they came with was of even cheaper quality, packaging: a plastic bag with lots of tape.

Literally spent hours choosing frames, adding prescription, and other requirements. Placed 1st order, paid, and waited. No email confirmation of order, no communication at all. Several days later I discover a refund to my bank with zero notice to me that my order had been cancelled. I then emailed Muukal Optical to get answers. Days later they finally responded, explaining that the frame was out of stock. They apologized and “invited” me to try again. So I did. Three days ago I placed a 2nd order. Crickets again. No confirmation, no acknowledgement, and guess what? No glasses. I found a refund in my bank a few moments ago, once again without any notice of any kind. I literally spent hours of my precious time buying glasses on Muukal, only to overall be treated so discourteously that I had to come here and warn shoppers about this supposed Optical company. And I intend to travel the www and leave warnings where possible. Save your time and energy and do not patronize Muukal Optical. In my now 30th year of utilizing online commerce, this is hands down the worst consumer experience I have ever had. On Edit: Apparently Muukal doesn’t like my review; please read their response below this review. 1) They had no problem accepting my prescription and presenting me with choices, yet now they claim my lenses were too thick. So why provide lens thickness choices if unavailable to me. Other sites block unavailable options, yet Muukal can not? And why not alert me to this post-sale? Every other vendor in my 30 years of transacting online has always communicated with me. Every. Single. Time. 2) Muukal demonstrates via their reply that a customers value is determined directly by the amount of $$ one spends. They just openly admitted this. Furthermore, they may have violated privacy laws by revealing this. This is a can of worms they may regret opening. 3) FWIW to other consumers; I always try to do a test run with a business the 1st time I purchase. I need to see the quality, I need to know customer service actually exists. If everything is as promised, then I invest in what I truly wish to buy. 3) Muukal flunked this test run 4 times! The only time they have EVER communicated with me is their reply herein, As one can see, a consumers value to Muukal directly correlates to the amount of $ the consumer spends. Is this a company you want to transact with? I will be contacting the FTC, the Ca Dept of Consumer Affairs, and the states Attorney General about this matter. It appears as if Muukal has violated consumer protection laws as they admit below. Please, shoppers. Beware Muukal.
