Good Job, Murph!
Ordering process, follow-up emailed communication with tracking info, use of FedEx to get the delivery done right and on-time. Simple packaging--not stuffed with material requiring disposal to "protect" the transport chain was really appreciated. Good job! I was a bit concerned when I found the CM trademark and "FNK" stamp on the chain and eventually determined that the FNK appears to indicate chain made in Shanghai and apparently drop shipped into an industrial park near the Troy MI airport. Found it curious that CM didn't require the FNK producer to label each link with the WLL and Gr70 info. I had purchased another Columbus McKinnon chain the prior day that had the CM Made In USA, Grade 70 and WLL on every link. I didn't detect any visible defect in the probable Chinese chain but would prefer to purchase U.S. product whenever possible. The forged Gr 80 ratchet binders look to be top notch equipment--I had a pair of orange ones from China one of which had a ratchet tooth break off as I was hand tightening it. I keep the other one around so I can make a hanger for a bird feeder out of it--hopefully it will be able to support the strain.
