We have been using the Multiplay Voice servers for several years. The first two years using had problems weekly. The three or so years since have been pretty smooth. The pricing for voice servers could be slightly lower though.

Decent connection with no drops. Easy to maintain. no issues at all.

The servers have always been good to me. I've never really had a problem with them, the only change I have ever had is in the price, it randomly went up one month without any notice.

It's been reliable but there have been a few occassions where service was down during our raids (Friday nights at around 9pm PST).

First you should know: I've only used Multiplay Gameservers for a week. I will leave another review in a month. When I first finished the initial process and paid for my server, I almost instantly received an E-mail telling me that there had been a lot of people signing up for servers recently and I would have to wait up to 2 days for my server. I was upset and sceptical. I received another E-mail about 15 minutes later informing me my server was ready. I hopped on Factorio and was able to log into it. I don't notice any lag playing with 2 players(buddy and I). There is an online service for managing your server called Clanforge. It is very user friendly and has video tutorials to help you learn how to use it as well. You can upload your own maps to Clanforge, set permissions for players on your server, and other things I have not done yet. I uploaded 2 maps to Clanforge. One was a test and the other was the map I wanted. Each time I uploaded a map, I had an E-mail confirming the change had been made in under 2 hours. You also get a mumble server for free. You can control it from Clanforge (password, banning people you don't want, etc.). You can also change what game your server is hosting. I have not tried this yet, since I'm happy playing Factorio. I may do it just to test it before I write my 1 month review. For $5 a month, I am pretty pleased with what I'm getting out of that $5 so far. I rate it 4 stars because I reserve 5 for truly amazing things and 4 is slightly above average(3). Thanks for reading. Good luck with your games.

Overall, as a company, Multiplay are great. They are very professional, organised, and maintain a high standard of hosting. Although I feel it was a shot in the foot at first when they moved from live chat to a ticket based support system, they managed to very well exceed my expectations. With most ticket based support systems, you would expect to wait a considerable amount of time before expecting any response, especially when compared to live chat. Multiplay however, have always sent me an initial response from an agent within the hour (in worst cases slight over but always under 2 hours). There are areas for improvement, though, you have certain expectations when renting from them, and although renting doesn't hold the same expected rights as self-hosting, there is much ambiguity in just what you can do as a paying customer (there is a SERIOUS lack of documentation for server admins). Clarifying that ambiguity would not only reduce their ticket load, but it would make renting from them that much more convenient. Fix that, Multiplay, and you have my 5 stars. Otherwise, I would still recommend, they are a great company.

I have used Multiplay on and off for a number of years. I would say that they are not the best for tutorials (certainly better than a couple of years ago) but a good search of the internet usually gives the information you need although the answer doesn't always fit with the Clanforge interface. I recently attempted to install an addon for my server and was very pleasantly surprised to get a technical support email response explaining how I needed to change the game mod on the server as the addon was already available. Then through a number of very fast responses and help Tad (the technical support guy) had added a profile on my server to show what could be done. This is the best technical support I have ever had from any company and was a breath of fresh air. I would recommend this company to others as I hope this wasn't Tad who went further than the rest and all Multiplay tech support is this exceptional.
