Get to know your "Relationship Banker"
For me, banking became a personal experience after a different bank, the one with the red-key, threw me away because they claimed that sending money to Family in Ghana was illegal, or close to it: It Is Not. I am with M&T in Greater Buffalo NY for about 3 years now (it's 2022 now), and after discovering what a Relationship Banker (RB) is, everything is running smoothly. Banking is more than a house to deposit money into and taking money out of; it is, or should be, all about building relationships with M&T and it will spill over to other businesses. Without naming names, she is beyond compare in other financial institutions, but am sure that you will find your RB is where you need to start; by phone, email and by walking into your M&T Bank itself. I truly believe that when you connect with your RB, you should be able to discuss any frustrations or disappointing developments, including success stories. Then, keep this person, your RB, apprised of every situation that involves your financial situation on every level. Your Relationship Banker is your personal mentor and guide. My RB is most excellent, and believe that you will find your RB, wherever you are located, to be your best guide too.
