I made an appt. to have an ice maker replaced. the appt. was confirmed. Two days prior to the scheduled appt. they called me and asked me question after question, the answers of which were generally none other their business. They quote me a price of $1,500 for parts and installation. The ice maker is available on amazon for $97 and its installation is considered to be a a DIY project taking 15 minutes. I have to someone else do it because I had major spinal surgery and can't lift anything. Their prices and inquisitiveness are out of control.

Horrific customer support.
I leave less than this, but horrific customer support, they let you schedule online, than call you to tell you that unless you can diagnose the problem yourself, they won't come out. Absolutely pathetic service in today's world. Don't waste your time with these dinosaurs.

Should be Zero Stars
After more than $1,200, multiple service calls, and multiple replaced parts, Mr. Appliance of Southlake-Grapevine has left me with a dryer in worse shape than when I called them.
The technician refused to look at my dryer vent before diagnosing the problem. Because of that, every part he installed burned out on its first run. I had to hire a separate company twice, at my own expense, to clean the lines and confirm that was not the issue. Even after the vent was verified clean, the "fixed" dryer failed again and now runs dangerously hot. That is a fire risk, in my home, after they were paid to repair it.
Their policy that only the original diagnosing technician can return to your house made everything worse. Appointments were weeks apart, and even on the day of service I could not get an arrival window, so I had no way to plan around it. Not meant for those of us who work in an office full-time.
So now I have: over $1,200 spent on parts that failed, two loads of laundry ruined, and a fried dryer I now have to replace. I will not use this company again and I would not recommend them to anyone. I have requested a full refund.

UNMITIGATED SCAM
UNMITIGATED SCAM: Demanded Full Payment Upfront, Failed the Job, and STOLE 25%! Do not ever trust Mr. Appliance—they are running an absolute racket. We hired them for a stove exhaust job, and before they even touched a single tool, they aggressively demanded the entire cost upfront. Foolishly, we trusted them and paid in full. That was our first mistake. On the day of the scheduled repair, the technician showed up, took one look at the job, and openly admitted he did not have the ability, training, or knowledge to complete the work. Instead of doing his job, he told us to contact the manufacturer. They pocketed our hard-earned money for a service they were completely unqualified to perform. It gets worse. When we demanded our money back for their total failure, they flagrantly stole 25% of our total payment as a "fee" for a job they canceled because of their own incompetence. To top it all off, the repairman—who doubled as a slimy, high-pressure salesman—was incredibly secretive, shady, and untrustworthy from start to finish. They are predatory, incompetent, and deceitful. Do not let them pressure you into paying upfront for work they cannot do. Save your money, protect your home, and look literally anywhere else.

Over price service!
Mr. Appliance is a total scam! charge high service price for the work. Qouted me 129$ for service call, end up paying over 300$ to fix a dishwasher. I could have bought new one at that price. Never again i would never used their service again. Live and learn.
