They can sweet talk you and make you feel warm and fuzzy but when it comes down to it, they have no backbone and do not stand behind their quotes. I spent a good amount of time going through everything for my move, which was a bedroom suite and a roll top desk. Everything was listed on the quote, including the roll top desk.
When the movers showed up they charged me another $300 for the desk because it was “bulky.” It’s a roll top desk! Who’s seen a small one?
Then, to use my debit card I was going to be charged another fee. Then upon delivery the movers wanted to charge me addition fees for this and that.
When I brought this up to Movers Nation, they said all that was up to the moving company. My contract was with Movers Nation and they refused to stand behind the original quote they provided.
Anyone looking to use them should be aware they do not stand for the best interest of their customers. They are just the middleman and after they get their money they cash in and move on. They do not care.

How much time to I have here
How much time to I have here! Firstly, they were supposed to be at my home by 4pm, They arrived the following day at 5:am. Was supposed to have three moving guys, I only had two, but I couldn’t understand a single word they were saying. The packing was terrible, no boxes are marked. I don’t know what is what, and when I mean the packing was terrible, oh my God. For instance, a microwave website down in the box with a toilet plunger and a toilet brush with it. That’s just an example. Was told several times about one fixed price, it almost doubled. I was not aware. When they came to my home, they didn’t even know it was a full house. They thought they were coming to an apartment at the end. They told me I had to mark these papers before they would leave. One of the remarks was, was there any damages? They did not give me a chance to go to anything. I found the damages. I feel like I’ve been taken advantage of. I am a senior citizen, and they took every drop of money I had to my name except $2000. I am furious, I’m retired as a customer service support for General Motors. I would fire this company. I would fire them

If I could give Move Nation zero stars
If I could give Move Nation zero stars, I would. This was one of the worst customer service experiences we have ever had.
We originally received a quote of approximately $1,785 to move belongings from Springtown, Texas, to Arkansas. We were very clear from the beginning about what was being moved, including tools, appliances, a stove, dressers, a 50-gallon air compressor, and other large and heavy equipment.
Their quote was lower than another moving company we had considered, so based on that price, we canceled the other option and chose Move Nation. We also paid approximately a $900 deposit that was non-refundable.
Then, just two days before the move, Move Nation called to review the inventory again. We once again explained exactly what was being moved. We were then told that the person who prepared the original estimate apparently had not properly documented everything we told them.
Suddenly, our approximately $1,785 move became a roughly $7,500 move.
After nearly an hour on the phone going back and forth, the price was eventually reduced to approximately $4,500 for around 1,000 cubic feet. At that point, with nearly $1,000 already tied up in a non-refundable deposit and the move only days away, we felt like we had very little choice but to proceed.
We specifically made sure the revised estimate listed the large and bulky items so there would be no question about what was being moved.
Unfortunately, that still wasn't the end of it.
On moving day, the actual moving company contracted to perform the move arrived and wanted approximately another $1,000 because of the "bulky" items—the very same items that were clearly identified on the revised estimate. According to the movers, they had not been given accurate information by the broker.
After yet another negotiation, that additional charge was reduced, but we still ended up paying hundreds of dollars more than the $4,500 amount we had agreed to only two days earlier.
So a move that began with an estimate of $1,785 ultimately cost more than $5,000.
That is an astronomical difference.
What makes this experience even more upsetting is that this move involved a couple in their late 60s living on a fixed income. Once the deposit had been paid, another moving company had been canceled, the move date was only days away, and the price suddenly increased by thousands of dollars, there were very few realistic options left.
I understand that moving estimates can change when inventory changes. Our inventory did not suddenly change. These large items had been discussed from the beginning and were specifically listed on the revised paperwork before the movers arrived.
The repeated price increases—from approximately $1,785, to nearly $7,500, negotiated to around $4,500, and then increased again on moving day—were completely unacceptable.
Based on our experience, I would strongly caution anyone considering Move Nation to get every single item, cubic-foot calculation, bulky-item charge, and possible additional fee in writing before paying a deposit. Do not assume that because you told someone about an item on the phone that it was properly documented.
We chose Move Nation based on the original estimate. Had we been told from the beginning that this move would cost more than $5,000, we absolutely would have made a different decision.
I would not recommend Move Nation based on our experience.

Extremely stressful and unprofessional…
Extremely stressful and unprofessional experience.
My experience with Move Nation has been incredibly frustrating from beginning to end, and I would strongly caution anyone considering using this company.
I booked my move on September 23 for a move from Durham, NC to Washington, DC. I paid a $601.75 deposit, and my estimate listed my requested move dates as September 29–30. moving estimate signed doc I also received confirmation indicating that my move was scheduled for September 29.
Despite that, communication leading up to the move was extremely poor. I had difficulty getting reliable information about who was actually handling my move and when they were coming.
One of the worst interactions I had was a phone call with someone who identified himself as Max. He was incredibly rude and dismissive. When I questioned why my pickup had been moved from September 29 to September 30 despite the confirmation I had already received for the 29th, he acted as though the scheduling issue was somehow my fault. Instead of acknowledging the confusion or trying to help resolve it, the conversation made an already stressful situation significantly worse.
I was then told that the movers would come on September 30 between 3:00 and 6:00 PM and that I would receive a call with more specific information. I arranged my entire day around that window. 6:00 PM came and went with no movers and no call from the carrier.
I called Move Nation at approximately 6:00 PM and was told that the movers would be in touch with me. Another 30 minutes passed and I still received no communication from the movers.
This is an interstate move. Customers make travel arrangements, take time off, coordinate apartment access, pack their belongings, and plan where they are going to sleep based on the dates and times they're given. Moving someone's pickup date and then failing to show up during the new pickup window, while leaving the customer to repeatedly call for information, is unacceptable customer service.
The combination of poor communication, changing pickup information, a missed pickup window, having to repeatedly chase them for updates, and the rude treatment I received from Max has made what should have been a straightforward move extraordinarily stressful.
If you are considering booking with them, I would strongly suggest reading the agreement carefully, understanding that Move Nation is acting as a broker rather than the company necessarily transporting your belongings, and getting every scheduling promise and communication in writing.

Lackluster Customer Service
Well, let's start with the following;
They give a good sales pitch and a reasonable price at the beginning to draw you in. Then when the actual movers show up the price increases exponentially. From 2350 to 3950. The movers will increase the amount of Cubic feet quoted by 100 to 200 even after we deleted items to move. Then ask for hundreds of dollars upfront, above what was quoted.
They won't leave any paperwork with you and state it will be emailed to you but, that never happens.
Numerous call and always the same thing, we will call you back again never happens.
Customer serivce after the initial order is subpar, personally for a company that states they are veteran owned I will never use them again as a Retired Veteran myself.

Absolutely horrendous service
Absolutely horrendous service! I would almost be willing to bet that most of these reviews are people that they know or possibly family members. They turned off the ability to leave Google reviews, which is why I think that. We hired them to move a very small load for my grandmother from Arkansas to South Carolina. The sales pitch was that it would be delivered within 12 days. Well, the moving company picked her things up on August 13 and here we are September 12 and nothing. Not only that but they do not assume any responsibility after the movers come to pick your belongings up! My dad has called numerous times and not one single time. Have they gotten back with him with an update. They do not provide tracking for your belongings either so we have had absolutely no idea where her things are over the past month. Then they wanna throw in our face with the contract and fine print reads that they legally have 30 days to deliver. Not just 30 days but 30 business days! Why in the world would you pitch a sale saying 12 days if you’re gonna take the whole 30 days?! The communication has been worse than anything I’ve ever experienced with any kind of business. I would give zero stars if I could.

It started out great...
*UPDATE 4* My mom's things still haven't arrived. The salesman for MoveNation said it would be a few days from pickup Never happened. The contract says 7-12 business days for the trip miles. Never happened. The driver of pickup said it would be last week. Never happened. It's now been a month. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY. I also noticed Trustpilot that they don't allow their companies to pay customers to hide reviews. Movenation offered me a financial incentive if I removed my review. This is the type of company it is. Disregarding the rules.
*UPDATE #3* It's been nearly a month, and my mom's things still have not arrived. MoveNation used Elk Moving and Hauling out of California. Come to find out, their numbers are disconnected and there is no way of contacting them. MoveNation has been super unhelpful. This is the type of moving companies they use. Isn't it interesting that you can't find MoveNation on Google to leave a review? And yet their website says Google Rating of 4.8/5 with reviews posted. There's a word for that, but will refrain from saying it. This is Trust Pilot, DON'T TRUST MOVENATION!
*UPDATE #2* I love how they spin things, but they know the truth. So, fortunately I kept the drivers number who picked up my 87-year old mom’s things. I called him after the 7-12 business day window that’s given at time of purchase. It actually was 14 business days. He was able to identify my mom’s things within a couple of hours. He was so much more helpful in those two hours than MoveNation has been in 3 weeks. Maybe you’ll have a great experience, but for my mom, it’s been a nightmare.
*UPDATE* We're still waiting for our belongings. We never received any paperwork that they said we got at time of pickup stating first available delivery. All we got was our house goods inventory sheet. This company is unbelievable. I keep calling to find where our things are and they have no idea. STAY AWAY!
We we're excited to have MoveNation serve us as they are veteran owned. The "sales" part went great. The agent was super helpful and patient. Then everything fell apart. The communication was less than helpful. The communication between the "office" and the drivers were unacceptable. We were told one thing from the office and another from the driver. Example: We were told the driver would make adjustments at time of pickup (we had less space than what was needed), and the driver said "we don't do that". We were told by the office that driver would give us a discount for being two days late. The driver said, "we don't do that". In the end, we're out way more money than what we were told in the "sales pitch".
We would not recommend this moving company. Super disappointed in the lack of professionalism in not honoring their word, their tardiness, and their vague pickup and delivery times.
Response from MovenationusAug 29, 2026
We’re sorry to hear that the customer feels disappointed with their experience. Moving can be stressful, especially while a shipment is still pending delivery, and our team has continued to assist by contacting the assigned motor carrier for updates and relaying the information available to us.
To clarify, Move Nation is a licensed moving broker, not the motor carrier physically transporting the shipment. This was disclosed in the signed estimate, which also explains that pickup and delivery dates are estimates unless premium guaranteed service is purchased in writing.
The move was originally booked based on the customer-provided inventory, and a QA/revised estimate was later completed before pickup to update the shipment details. The estimate states that pricing may change if additional items, volume, packing, labor, or services are required at pickup. Certain requested changes made close to pickup were advised to be handled with the carrier onsite.
The customer was also sent Important Details after booking, including information regarding the two-day pickup window, ETA process, payment expectations, and the First Available Delivery Date. Delivery timeframes begin from the First Available Delivery Date provided at pickup and are estimated, not guaranteed.
Our records show that after pickup, the customer contacted our office for delivery updates, and our team requested additional information and paperwork from the carrier. We understand the frustration, but we cannot provide a confirmed delivery date or FADD without verified information from the carrier.
Move Nation also attempted to resolve part of the customer’s concern by offering a courtesy adjustment related to the pickup inconvenience and second stop issue. However, any compensation or resolution must still follow the terms of the signed agreement and required process.
We remain willing to assist the customer with communication between them and the carrier and encourage them to contact our customer service department directly so we can continue helping obtain updates and work toward resolution.
