I am so thankful that I had help from Motivate MD during this application process! Becca is so helpful and genuine. I loved working with the rest of the Motivate MD Team, especially Molly, Akosua, and Deena. I was extremely anxious about the entire application cycle, but my editors did a fantastic job of giving me helpful and constructive feedback on my essays and mock interview. First off, I do not have any incentive to be writing a review at all. I truly mean every word of this. To be honest, when I first stumbled upon Motivate MD while looking for consulting services, I had my doubts. Every other company I've looked up charges at least twice as much, if not more, for advising services. The prices that Motivate MD charged and all the services they provide for the low prices just seemed too good to be true. I thought there must have been a catch. I couldn't be more wrong. When I first reached out to inquire more about Motivate MD, Becca was absolutely amazing with providing timely responses and addressing my every concern. Not only are the prices low but I could also get a refund within a certain time frame if I wasn't happy with what I was getting. The transparency and thoroughness with which Becca answered my questions was what decided to make me trust Motivate MD. I purchased the Ultimate Acceptance package which covers everything and can't be more satisfied with it! My mentor, Julie, was always available to answer my questions and helped me narrow down a school list that fit the best for me. Every editor I've worked with for my personal statement, work/activities, and secondaries were super timely with their feedback, responding to me in only 1-2 days every time. Their feedback was always thorough, constructive, and specific and allowed me to express my thoughts and achievements with maximum efficacy. I was even able to have medical students from the schools I was applying to edit some of my secondaries which helped to strengthen and tailor my essays even more! Finally, my mock interview with Adina was amazing too. She gave me confidence for my first interview and since she goes to the school that I was going to interview at, was also able to give me personalized feedback and info about that school. It's still early in the cycle but I've already gotten 2 acceptances! I could not have done this without Motivate MD and I am so grateful that there is such an affordable and high-quality service available.

All the editors and operation managers were so helpful and genuinely cared about my applications. The editors thoroughly looked through my work, offered expert revisions, and truly wanted the best for me. I felt like they were all on my team, rooting for me to get into medical school. I also constantly asked questions to editors and they were always sure to comprehensively address them. They also gave positive feedback and noted specific areas for improvement. As a writer, I have gotten better because of Motivate MD and their team.

I really appreciate the time the med student interviewers invested in my interview prep (1.5 hr for the first session and ~1 hr for the second session). I'd like to give my honest feedback because I think the team will appreciate it. Instead of spending 45 min of our mock interview asking me question after question, I'd appreciate it more if the interviewers had focused on some of the common questions and gave me feedback right after each question (at least for the first interview session) because personally, that's all I need. For example, it would be best if we had gone over common questions 2-3 times. The interviewers were very set on how they wanted to do the mock interview (non-stop 45-min interview following with a 15-30 min feedback). I felt like they did not want to listen to me and customize the mock interview experience. Maybe this works for someone else but not for me. In my actual interviews with the medical schools, I was only asked common questions such as "why medicine", "why this school", "strength and weakness" so I wish we had gone through these questions more instead of difficult, ethical questions. Also, the "introduction/ strategy" session is supposed to be 30 min. In reality, it was only 3-5 min in which the first interviewer read what was in the interview prep package that they sent us. Overall, I really appreciate their help. I think they do care and try their best. I just wish they are more flexible in how they run interviews.
