Morty has very competitive rates and good service. Phillip and Tim were always there to answer any questions. We also took advantage of rate float down which was great. No high pressure sales pitch and bait and switch rates. Need to follow up and make sure application is moving forward but fairly simple process.

Overall great experience. My closer Jack has been very responsive and got everything straight for us to close on time. Only little mess up was when locking the rate. Even though I submitted everything in time, they failed to lock in the rate of that day. Ended up with a few hundred dollars more in discount points. After negotiating, was told Morty would pay me back the difference after closing. Will see if I do get it back. Other than that, everything else has been nice and easy. Update: received the payment a few weeks after the closing. Everything is all settled now as they promised. Definitely recommend!

Your organization was not proactive and not very forthcoming with information on my closing which ended up being stressful for me. I tried to be very proactive in providing info. Some of your reviewers of documents did not even act like they could read or decipher info. Time off or vacation was taken at what I would have considered critical in processing my loan. However my loan did close on time and I am grateful for that.

Ok, I will give a solid 4 stars. 4.5 if I could. My rate was great. The early process was smooth and good. However, communication suffered some as the process moved towards closing and I needed to broker some communications between Morty and the Title Co and Agent. Too much reliance on email and other non-fast communications In the end, everything worked out fine and there were no issues at closing. Would I use Morty again? You bet! But I hope as they evolve, they put in better avenues of communication on the forefront of improvements needed.

Everyone was professional and a pleasure to deal with. Things got a little more stressful than they needed to near closing, so four stars. But overall I'd recommend it.

Low rate and comparably low convenience. Long wait to contact a person, but everything turned out fine in the end and they were the cheapest I could find.

Morty easily had the best rate of 7 or 8 lenders I investigated. Mostly it went pretty well. However, Morty extensively utilizes electronic communications, which at times left me a bit uncertain about what was happening. For example, twice there were documents that were incorrect that I was asked to sign. When I contacted them, they said they would fix the documents. Instead, they created an addendum and asked me to sign both the incorrect document and the addendum. I found it a bit disconcerting that I had to sign an incorrect document, especially when I had already signed the addendum and no longer could view it to see how it was worded. Both myself and the title company were a bit surprised by how they communicated almost exclusively by email, and phone numbers to the specific persons I needed to talk to were not always available. Morty has several people that play different roles in the loan process, so that who you are working with shifts over time. All-in-all, they took care of business and offered pretty good service, but the process left me a little unsettled at times. They met my needs, but if I didn't have a back up plan or had not been through numerous loan processes in the past, I think I would have been more concerned.
