This is my third day contacting Monitech and I have not recieved a response yet. I haven't been able to move my vehicle in 4 days. Even when they ask for giving a call back pressing 8 doesn't work and they just talking and playing elevator music. This is ridiculous and totally unacceptable. Also, this is not the first time this has happened. I can't wait to be done with this!!

We appreciate your feedback and apologize for the lengthy hold times when reaching out to our Customer Support Center. As we are currently experiencing higher call volumes, your patience is appreciated. We show that an agent called you on Tuesday, but got your voicemail, then you spoke with us last night after leaving this review.

Good luck calling after 10am
Good luck calling after 10am. I’m having my car worked on and with the monitech device getting the code for the mechanic has been a nightmare. It’s been 7 days sitting at the dealership with no response. The dealership said it’s not the first time they have had to deal with this company incompetence. I made a mistake getting my dui but my second was going the cheap route with monitech

This company is a ripoff
This company is a ripoff. Customer service agents are quick to rush you off the phone, always fast talking( I guess so they can get back to doing nothing at home). Slow response time for the Indigent program. It’s been 2 months and I have yet to hear anything in response to my financial hardship affidavit. I know when I’m getting the run around and this company is definitely doing a good job at doing that. I cannot wait to get this interlock out of my vehicle, it has become more of a headache than anything good.

No one ever called me back as stated in…
No one ever called me back as stated in your response. When I finally got in touch with someone today, Keshia, she was extremely rude, spoke over me and denied me being able to answer a question. When I asked to speak with someone else who could answer my question she said she would transfer me and,of course, she hung up on me. When i called back it was the typical “we are experiencing an unusually high call volume” bs line. I have to be able to drive my car. No one will help me. This is the worst
Customer service ever.

I'm stuck at a gas station sweating
This is the second time I have had a problem. My device says hum not valid and I've unplugged it and everything. I am stuck at a gas station and been on hold forever. This is completely unacceptable.
UPDATE: I was stuck there half of the night before someone could come get me! Not happy at all. Left 4 voicemails and stayed on hold hours after hours. 11:40am still no callback!

I have called over 10 times in the past…
I have called over 10 times in the past 3 days. Currently on hold again. Each time I called I stayed on hold for 1 hour exactly. At that point, it went to a voicemail. It seems that there isn't anyone actually answering phones at this point. I have called every extension possible as well and each time it takes me to the hold section. Even when I go through the menu of the monitoring authority, no answer. No call back, nothing. Seems they don't have a problem responding on here but can get anyone to get on the phones. If you are going to get an interlock, don't use Monitech. This isn't the first time I have had to deal with this and as you can see from the other reviews, it will continue to happen it seems. I mean I am calling during the week at all times of the day and no answer. I have been on hold for the 10th time and I waited an hour at each call before the automated system required me to leave a message then hung up on me. Just because they may be the cheapest doesn't mean you should use them. You get what you pay for. The DMV can't do anything about it either it seems. If anyone know who I can report them to please let me know. They shouldn't think they can get away with this just because it is required of us to have their system in our vehicles.
Update as of 02/17/2023
I received a call as they mentioned in the response below. They listened to my situation and all the occurrences and explained what they are currently going through. Based on current events, I believe they are being honest when they say they are short staffed in their call centers. People aren't wanting to work and finding good employees during this time is difficult. That coupled with some potential call system issues (i.e. "press 8 to hold your place in line" may be having deletion issues after a certain period of time. You press 8 and verify your number but after a certain amount of time the system may remove your number from the line, I dont know if this is the case but I never received any call back. I kept calling after that and this morning was able to get throught to someone who help with my situation), Is leading to lack of service. With the world in a simmering chaos, I believe that Monitech was unprepared for the influx of new customers and because of this, a lot of the issues we are seeing now weren't a problem before the pandemic and because of the influx of new customers and clients, as well as the difficulty in hiring new call center employees, the problems are now showing up and they are fighting to solve these issues. I left a suggestion that they should put a notice on their website when they run into these issues and provide an expected call back. My suggestion to you would be to put in an ear bud and keep calling until you get through to someone. It is frustrating, I know, but they aren't having it easy either so a little patience will go a long way in keeping everyone stress free! I say this knowing it makes me out to be a hypocrite, and that's fine. I made a mistake in being too aggressive with my review. It did feel the way I portrayed my experience, like they didn't care and think "you are required to have our service, so we don't have to care." I found out that wasn't the case and shouldn't jump to conclusions as we are all taught as children! I am glad I left the review though because it allowed me to share my experience with Monitech and hopefully help them make some changes and look into some potential issues. My device gets remove March 9th of this year so I am doing this to help all those that still have or will have Monitech. Make sure you are open and honest when talking to them so they can find any problem areas they are having. Your help can help other people in the future who are trying to get their lives together as well. I hope this helps.

I'm on my 3rd day of being locked out…
I'm on my 3rd day of being locked out my vehicle. At this point I want to change company and I don't feel I should be charged for ending contract early due to lack of there help. They could care less and have no understanding of the fact my vehicle is at a auto shop that closes at 5 . When I get a fall back at 8 pm I can't do anything. Lady schedule to call me today at 2 and guess what no call after I took off work and lined up someone to drive. This should not be such a huge inconvenience. And I should not have to pay a second lock out fee due to my vehicle being in a shop.
