Installation and education about the system was great. However when I took my car to get an oil change, I told the person at the counter to call the number and obtain a code and the operator at your company was rude and unhelpful per the Manager at the car shop. He was instructed that they did not handle that immediately and it possibly would take 24 hours to get a code which would postpone my appointment that I had made with the car shop. I was not pleased the way the situation was handled by your representative.

I have COPD and it takes too long to blow and I be out of breath before I can finish blowing and it's too much to have to blow every few minutes there should be a time limit of at least 45 minutes to an hour to blow again

At Monitech, we appreciate your feedback and understand your concerns. However, our device's settings are dictated by state regulations, so the breath requirement and frequency of tests on our devices are outside our control. If you have a medically confirmed diminished lung capacity that prevents you from normal air exhalation, you should contact the Medical Section at the NCDMV in Raleigh to determine if you qualify for special medical dispensation. The NCDMV will require measurement and confirmation of your breathing disability from two independent doctors. The NCDMV will then notify Monitech of the breath pressure setting specific to your medical condition. To begin this process, please contact the NCDMV Medical Department at 919-715-7000.

I really like the guy in N.Raleigh, Jason.. he is very nice and helpful. My complaint is: in dec. The IID gave me a hi reading, but monitech figured out it was problem with the machine, and came out and hooked up another one for me.. great..but Now my license is being suspended for THAT day (I haven't drank in 17yrs.) So, now I have to pay $450 for a hearing W/ DMV To keep my license. Monitech, this is NOT RIGHT..I have done nothing wrong, you guys KNOW it was the machine, and you've reported me failed. $450 is alot of money, when you've done NOTHING wrong Has anyone else experience this problem? This happened to my husband Terry McLamb.
