My car engine blew up so I paid $125 for absolutely nothing since to get code to unlock car after getting stuck in snow to be able to drive away to go get unlocked at the Monitech shop only to end up 5 mins later pulled over on the side of the road with a blown head gasket.

Monitech is horrible. DO NOT USE THEM! The battery in my car went dead in Wisconsin over Christmas, so the device caused a violation. I had to cut my trip short to drive 16 hours to North Carolina to have it serviced. When I got to the location in Wilmington, nobody was in the office, so I had to drive amother 4 hours roundtrip to Raleigh to have it serviced that day, otherwise I would have been locked out. Nobody notified me that the location was not operating that day, (Friday) and refused to give an allowance till the office opened on the following Tuesday. It is not Monitech's fault that I require an interlock service, but the way they do business is disgusting. This is one small example of terrible ethics and service that I have experienced from Monitech. However I will say that they technician in Wilmington is very good to work with.

Calling into MONITECH is a nightmare You MAY connect with someone and they barely speak clear English. You press 8 for a call back and rarely does that work. You’re on hold for over 40 minutes It’s really unacceptable for a service to where you’re trying to help people help themselves and it be completely not accessible. Hire more people or something.

The experience was awful. When issues arises, I was never called back by a supervisor or any form of management. Even so much as getting in contact with Monitech is a hassle. When it came to my vehicle being serviced, they could never get a call back for the car to be serviced which required more money to be put up since the car had to stay for days. You guys need to find better ways to go about handling these issues because I along with others that I have met would never recommend you guys

The call center is a nightmare. I 1st spent 1 hour on hold to receive a voice recording advising me to leave a msg. I waited another hour, no call back. I called again, choosing option 8 for a call back. I waited another hour, nothing. I called again, now having 3 hours in, trying to get help. This is a similar occurrence each time I call. While on hold that last time, I rec'd a call from Sara. She was very helpful, along with the gentle m an that called me immediately after with the override code and instructions. Those 2 deserve a 5 star rating.

I had a lockout appointment scheduled on 10/20 at the Diggs St. location in Raleigh. I sat there for over two hours, trying to reach customer service, only to find out that the location they scheduled me for is closed on Mondays—while my car was locked out. From 12:00 PM to 2:45 PM, I waited before finally being told that they issued a bypass code and that I had to drive to Durham. The catch? I couldn’t turn my car off, meaning I had to let it run for three hours, wasting gas, all because of a honey bun violation. There needs to be better communication and coordination between their offices. Yes, we accept responsibility for the DWI and the consequences that come with it, but this kind of experience isn’t part of “paying the price”—it’s just poor business practice.

The module under the dashboard went completely out and they had me to have my vehicle towed to the place in Raleigh NC ( South Raleigh ) and the would reimburse me, I have yet to receive my money, I’m gonna give the until next week.

I work at a repair facility and had to work on a vehicle that had one of their devices installed. Had to spend two weeks on the phone every time on the phone would spend 30to 60 mins. Mostly on hold. Amd every time I see finally got to speak to someone was told something different every time for what I need to do to able to work the vehicle asked over a dozen times to speak to a manager would be told they will calle back. Even had one of their team leads straight up tell me he would not transfer me and they would not help me . By far the worse company and customer service I have ever dealt with. Do not deal with this company or any other company that associated with them.
