Monitech is an awful company.
Their technician set my breathalyzer to the wrong setting and I was told I would be getting a refund and have yet to see that and no one likes to call people back from this company.

When I first got the machine in my car…A waste of my time and money
When I first got the machine in my car it’s like it knew when I got paid. For the simple fact every 2nd or 3rd day after I got paid it would hit me with a warning that would cost me $35 each time. Long story short. Had a hearing in November and December of 2017. They canceled both of them and scheduled it for February 20 2018. Suspended my licenses the 10 of March 2018 for a warning in May 2017. Only had 26 days left. Now license gone for a year and if I try to get them back 3 Year’s of this BS. Trying to fight this now. If I had known that I needed a lawyer at the hearing I would have gotten one but now here we go with the court system

Accountability is Lacking
I took my car in to be serviced 3/8/2018 everything was fine I got home sat in my drive way blowing to comply with running test. I passed this morning I got to remove device from my car and I get a code of 4043 stating that I had 2 days to bring my car in. I am suppose to be leaving for a flight today I called their more than lacking customer service to explain my situation and basically they stated I had today to bring the car in or the car would be locked out and I would be charged 35.00. They also lock you out if you can not make an appointment and try to reschedule a week ahead of time. I asked for an extra 4 days on my recall because I will be out of town for a family emergency. Basically I was told Screw you pay me. Monitech has a monopoly on these devices, they have 3 different company names through out the United States and Canada and because of this monopoly you would think they would have a little more accountability. Between the faulty devices, the car battery drains, and lack of customer service you would think they would do better. You can not drive your car and breathe into the device on a 2 way road and be safe in 3minutes (technically its2min) or try to pull over with out being scared for your life.
So the next step is to find a lawyer that will help me keep them accountable and ensure that my quality of life is ensured while having this device in my car. Also Thank You Monitech for helping me spend 125.00 on rescheduling a flight because of your lack of customer service and lack of accountability.

If I could put 0 stars in this place I …
If I could put 0 stars in this place I would. The young man who is in the office I visit has been kind and helpful but the mechanism itself has given me numerous problems!!! My battery was completely drained from cold weather and when I tried calling for assistance I was on hold for over 2 hours once with no response. I finally hung up. I know I have to be with my car when there is any sort of over ride or assistance involving the device, but without turning my car on or heat, there is no way to sit for hours without heat in the snow and cold weather. On another occasion, my perfume set the device off and failed me and again in the 3 days I had to over ride and reset the machine, I tried calling no less than 15 times. I never spoke to a human being. I was on hold for close to an hour each time and sometimes longer. I have screen shots of the time on hold. I am now locked out of my car and have no way of reaching anyone. Ironically!!!!! I called the sales line to see if I could reach a person and someone answered within two minutes. She was extremely rude and told me she couldn't do anything and switched me back to the over ride line without giving me another option. I still have not spoken to a single person on your over ride line! I am in the process of finding another company to finish my time with. I realize I have this in my car due to my mistake, but this is affecting many areas of my life and I am doing all that I can to abide by all rules regarding this machine. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a company!!!

I hope you don’t mind if I ask for your help. We are unable to locate your record using the information visible in your Trustpilot review.
Trustpilot is great for reviewers like you because they keep all your information private.
The only thing we can see is what is written in your review. Would you help by providing your last name, the state you live in and your driver's license number you used while using our service? With that, we can pull up your account and gather more information.
Next, at your convenience, one of our managers will get in touch and listen to everything you might add to the record. Finally, we will do our very best to resolve all issues and identify any places where we could improve.

Terrible customer service
I will say that the technician that i’ve primarily dealt with is helpful, professional, and kind, however...
This company has hands down the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. I called, with no exaggeration, at least seven times to reschedule an appointment because my battery was dead and there was a snow storm. I was on hold for no fewer than forty minutes each time before I gave up. I now will have to pay a missed appointment fee and probably more, who knows, I still have not been able to speak to a representative within the four days I’ve been calling.

Worst Customer Service
Absolute worst customer service I have ever dealt with. It takes 30 plus minutes to get someone on the phone. I am having a situation at the present with my account and wanted to speak to a manger/supervisor. They told me this was not possible. They said they would have someone call me to figure my situation out. I have been trying to figure this situation out for a month. Of course they never called me. I called again and they sent me to the voicemail of a "supervisor." Its not even 5pm. They should at least try and make this a decent process. They simply care less. Go with Smart Start. At least they will treat you with some dignity or so I hear.

HORRIBLE Experience!
First off, I believe they have faulty systems that read false positives often. If you are a non native English or Spanish speaker I would advise you NOT to go to this company. Their customer service sucks (I've waited over two hours to get on the phone with a representative) and one time had a woman hang up on me while i was trying to start my engine because of a dead battery (got locked out by the system because of me trying to restart my engine multiple times while dealing with my dead battery, which was absurd) Over the past 6 months I have paid over $400 just for override codes and each time they tell me the system must have detected alcohol when I have been completely sober for over a year now. They system itself is very complicated to work, it's not a simple blow-pass- and go, which makes it harder for non- English to properly use the device without getting locked out and fined.
